Mag2 continues it's release of Planeshift:

Tahngarth, Talruum Hero
3RR
Creature - Minotaur Legend
Attacking does not cause Tahngarth to tap.
1R, Tap: Tahngarth, Talruum Hero deals damage equal to its power to target creature. That creature then deals damage equal to its power to Tahngarth, Talruum Hero.
4/4

Not bad...effectively, he's reusable critter burn. He'll be like Radiant was...good, but not a show stopper. His best use will be weenie control, ie a Bolt for when a Shock ain't enough.

I suppose this means that even if Tahngarth deals lethal damage, the return damage is on the stack.

I like the card a lot. It doesn't tap to attack for 4 and it's a 4 power shooter for 1R and a tap. That's a high-powered kill.

A fun card for casual play and one that will help Red Mages a lot. Too bad it's a Legend.

Evil: Is there a card that allows you to redirect damage dealt to target creature to another target creature you control?

Sivvi’s Ruse
2WW, Instant, Nemesis Uncommon
If an opponent controls a mountain and you control a plains, you may play Sivvi’s Ruse without paying its mana cost. Prevent all damage that would be dealt this turn to creatures you control.
Illus. Kev Walker

Not quite, but a surprise instant. Sounds as if WotC is going to have to make a damage redirection card - creature to creature.

He's a 4/4 for 5cc. Not bad for a red 5-drop. Vulnerable to removal, but they had to balance him out, you know.

Plus, he's an attacked, blocker, and poker all in one. His ability will be less useful against a red opponent, but poking for 4 damage is great creature control. It kills Blinding Angels! Red LD could easily replace Flowstone Overseer with Tahngarth instead.

Think of how naughty Tahngarth could be with Inviolability or Alexi's Cloak! 'Course, those are opposing colors, but life can't be perfect.

Crackdown: Yes, return damage is on the stack. Tahngarth and the target inflicting damage to each other is part of the resolution of a single ability. So, once Tahngarth inflicts his damage, no one can interrupt with fast effects. ;)

Re: Neuro

Correct, Mr. Bull is the pre-release card.

Yeah, that's a pretty good and useful card. Creature and burn together, just play an inviolability on it, and YEAH!

Ooooooh! Nice! Me likey. Much better pre-release card than Raging Butt-Laser (don't ask).

Strong on offense...strong on defense...and shoots those pesky blockers out of the way while he waits for a chance to attack. If only it didn't target, he'd be fun vs. Derm. As it stands, I picture Blinding Angel... "Uh oh."

Vs. Burst..."Okay, I'll block one token...put damage on the stack, then shoot another...wow, your Burst isn't so impressive anymore."

Yup.
Tahngarth got the big-n-beefy treatment, all right.

The uses of this guy in limited are pretty impressive. If you open one of these, you're playing red (if you draft one, either you're sitting next to a moron or she/he drafted something really amazing).

This will get used in a lot of full-frontal assaults, folowed by mercilessly killing some weenie your opponent forgot to chump with.

Enchant him with Maniacal Rage and he gets ugly.
Go 3-color with Armadillo cloak and he's sick...

Dear god, no...that is *not* *right*.

Now more than ever, I hope they reprint Skyshroud Elves...

I really like this card. Its viable in constructed, especially in Invasion Block. Even though I don't play constructed, he is a great lot of fun in Casual and Multiplayer games, and a complete bomb in draft. In multiplayer no one's gonna want to attack you if you have him sitting on the lines. In draft he's just sick. Period.

This SOB is BEGGING for armadillo cloak! DO you know how much fun that would be? First he attacks, kills a river boa, it regenerates, and the he pokes it again. And yuo gain 12!
