I was playing an MTGO game the other day, and I run a G/W deck using Loxodon Peacekeepers, and Troll Ascetics...

Now - most of you know I'm big on Utility and originality when it comes to my decks... and utility - I'm really good at...

anyhow... I was playing a game, doing my usual luring someone into something that could swing the game, they attacked with their critters, so I Naturalized the equipment on their critter, played a sprouting vines to fetch some land, and then played the WW1 mother - Wing shards...

first @#$^@3 words out of my opponent's text-type - Nice Net Deck...

tehn the #$@^%@#6 conceded...

First of all - Is there a G/W net-deck I'm not aware of...

Second of All - Nightstalkers - please track this a-hole down... I'd like a physical address... and some black market weapons...

Third of All - I'm just pissed, and I know the person doesn't know me, that I would ever be said to have used a net-deck...

That's about as bad as being called a blue player...

Psha Train! Obviously you've never heard of G/W landsearchaggrocontrol before...your such a netdecker.

Really though from what I've read a G/R control arch type popped up in Kobe..but no G/W from what I've heard.

...but in all honesty if someone equipped a Loxodon Hammer on a Troll Ascetic I'd probably throw a tantrum too...that just plain sucks to be on the recieving end.

Say howdy to my 5/2 Trample, Lifegain, Untargettable, Regenerating Troll-Clown *snort snort*

Good thought spidey... I still need Nightstalkers to do their thing though...

Yeah.. I like the troll hammer idea... but I usually place the hammer on the jareth... The ascetic gets the hammer, or the fireshrieker...

You should of just ask him to keep quite, because Rhinoseeker
was super secret net deck info just being passed around by top
level players. Just how did he come by this information anyway?

He didn't say "nice netdeck".

He said, "I'm embarassed that your deck is better than mine, so rather than admit that you have the better deck and better playing skills, I'm going to pretend it's a netdeck. This invalidates it in my mind, allowing me to continue to feel good about myself."

...just not in those words.

I agree with Isty.

Actually when you translate "Nice netdeck" into Swedish you get "thank you for that pimp-slap."

First of all, he was a poor loser, and you don't want to become like Exterra and go out to the firing range whenever I beat him at M:TG.

Second off, I don't think anyone here has invaded MT:GOL

Third, many people out there play with net decks, so its not surprising to be called one. Just shrug it off and make up something witty to say back. (you can do that, you know you can)

And lastly, SPREAD RUMORS AROUND THAT THE GUY IS CHEATING!!!

Heh, even if I thought my opponent were playing a netdeck, and I lost, I wouldn't say that. It's stupid to whine about a deck just because it's good...

There's no reason to stay ticked-off. A general sense of psychology will tell you that that remark was a simple defense mechanisim this person uses to take the edge off of their anger.

So what, do you REALLY care if some jerkoid calls you names? Believe me, I've been called many a names and one has been "Net-Decker", but I've grown some tough skin.

BTW, how can you give someone the middle finger without actually writting the words on the screen?

I didn't get called a name...

It's the concept behind stating it was a net-deck... not original...

Honestly - find me a true net-deck playing 4 Loxodon Peacekeepers, and I may understand more... but in this instance it was even intelligent to relate a net-deck with peacekeepers...

I'm not pissed anymore - but It's not easy to think someone was questioning originality when that's what I'm about... in the game of Magic...

*sticks up both middle fingers *

Yeah, train, it sucks when you get misjudged and you can't even argue back.

I wouldn't worry about it though.

just this morning I was driving through my neighborhood and I was stopping at a stop-sign, (like you do), and somebody was coming across the other way and honked at me and gave me some dirty look like, "how dare you try to run that stop-sign!" which I wasn't doing at all.

Oh, well, nothing you can do about it, right?

The guy was probably some teenager, so you really shouldn't let it bother you. He probably didn't even know what netdeck meant, because seriously, loxodon peacekeepers? While, yes, the public magic arena might be more pleasant if it was limited only to persons of say, 16 years or older, I don't think it would be quite right - (or legal).

Yeah, what Istanbul said. Or, simply, saying you use a "netdeck" is the same brainles form of insult as saying somebody is a "noob." The internet and its millions of BNet kidz are easy to figure out.

And you, train, you noob, stop playing the netdeck. You homo.

OPEN!!! NO COUNTERSPELLZ!!! NO LAND DESTROY!! NO DISCARD!!! NO WINNING ALLOWED!!! EXCEPT ME!!!!

Why are all the casual games on MTGO slowly devolving into the above?
