Perhaps this isn't the place for this...

I just wanted everyone to know about an especially virulent Email Virus which I've seen try to come to my work a lot today.

It's called MyDoom and comes either as an Email or apparently thorugh file sharing on Instant Messaging.

Typically the email has a short subject (Test or Hi are two I've seen) and the message says something about being incomplete with a partial attachment as a zipped file. Don't unzip it and execute it. You should just delete the email. This is one of those viruses which spoofs email addresses as well, so it usually doesn't have the correct email address of where it came from...

Hopefully this keeps you from getting it.

EDIT - I'm adding a link to Network Associates Description

Thanks for the update, I don't believe I'd need it since all the messages I get are either through Ninc or filtered out from the system already.

My pc runs on an old OS - most of these new viruses won't even run on it.

lol, Ninc "satellite" laptops run on a modified version of WIN XP, and so does most of the office computers. A few like myself use modified WIN98SE for their office comps, but we're still rare and far between.

Hmm... I wonder if it was someone using a WIN98SE computer who tried hacking the system.
