I want to make a cool Booby Trap deck!!

Booby Trap has always seemed like a fun card to me.

Orcish Spy and Spy Network will help to set the trap....

One card I really like is Elemental Augery, which is horribly weakened by the fact that it is three colors. But one thing I had wanted to use with it was Booby Trap. Some other stuff along those lines...

Millstone
Thran Turbine (Elemental Augery and Millstone suck up mana)
Copy Artifact (for Booby Trap)
Orcish Spy
Vexing Arcanix
Chaos Harlequin
Portent

Lantern of Insight would only be too perfect. It's a Fifth Dawn uncommon.

And for some reason I feel that if you are going to play with Lantern of Insight then you need to run Sensei's Divining Top too.

And as a joke you could donate them an obstinate familiar.

I used to have a Booby Trap deck but haven't updated it to use cards since Odyssey and beyond, so not sure what's out there now. I used to used Memory Lapse and the black card where you pay <something> to put a card from their hand on top of their library (Volrath something).

Pretty sure. That doesn't sound familiar. Now you're going to make me look it up...

Volrath's Dungeon. Not sure what I used to look at my opponent's hand for it to fully work with Booby Trap... either Glasses of Urza or some other "reveal hand" card.

I think I was looking for effects that were more permanent; I only had 2 Booby Traps and wasn't sure when I'd draw them :)

Since you are likely going to be playing with some kind of card that always looks at the top card in their deck, how about Flicker? You can reset a Booby Trap already in-play and surprise them with quick 10 damage blast.

I would look into that actually. It doesn't look amazing at first glance, but it could make the Traps more flexible...

You could work some wierd synergy with Predict, the deceivers and Sindbad. :D

with Booby trap, lantern would be amazing, top would to fetch the booby as well a duplication cards..

Copy artifact along with sculpting steel would be nice.
But youd probably want to run the card that was meant to exploit booby..

Precognition 4U, Enchantment, Tempest Rare
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may look at the top card of target opponent's library, then put that card back on top of that player's library or on the bottom of it.

Theres also ransack, second sight and a few others..
you could use the rearranging to get the cards you need, then play more to use booby..

Youd also want tinker for superfast kills..

Theres also goblin spy i believe where players play with the top card revealed.

It comes in handy even without the trap set...;)
