Wizards has recently posted a feature on their sight called the Orb of Insight. It's a little teaser program that allows you to search for one word and the Orb will tell you how many times that word appears in scourge (excluding flavor text). I wasn't surprised to find the number 29 pop up when I typed in dragon, but I was surprised to find four instances of the word "sliver" appear upon search. I think we can all expect at least one new sliver, or sliver based card in Scourge.

In a secondary note, there appear to be just three new Legends or in the next set as well.

Sigh, that appears to be the one staple of Magic's fantasy world. The dwarves are getting the shaft. What was the last dwarf to be released? Enslaved dwarf? Come on. What self-respecting dwarf would let himself be enslaved by a goblin?

Actually, don't let other fantasy settings prejudice your thinking in Magic's. There's no reason why a dwarf in Dominaria (or wherever) would kill himself rather than be enslaved.

There have actually been some good dwarfs before Onslaught (Bomb Squad, Driller, etc); I guess they're on hiatus right now :)

I'd say that there is stuff out there that dwarves could benefit by -harsh mercy, and other tribal cards can help the dwarves out if they don't mention specific "tribes" or creature types...

Coat of arms and Blood moon are mean cards in a dwarf deck. since the main staple of dwarves in magic seems to be mountainwalk.

Actually, I'd say the main staple is getting power <2 creatures (which is pretty much most of them) through unblocked ala Warrior and Nomad. Mountainwalk hasn't really been included since Ice Age block or Mirage block.

Only 4 on Sliver? If that indicates a new sliver, it must be an artifact or 5-color sliver. I doubt they would introduce anything else without doing a cycle. Perhaps the "Sliver King" wasn't just a red herring after all?

Nope - just consulted the Orb. No "King" anywhere.

Just keeping you guys on your toes. That was pretty funny.

FYI - Bella Lugosi was a famous B-movie actor from the 50's, he appeared in many Ed Wood movies often times as a vampire. In the actual "Ed Wood" movie with Johnny Depp he was portrayed by Martin Landau.
