Players can't play spells that share a color with the spell last played this turn.

When it goes to the stack (any card) and let's say it the Sliver Queen, does this mean you can't put anything else on the stack? Or does it imply, upon resolution of the spell?

Sliver Queen would prevent anything but an Artifact spell.
Artifact spells would allow any spell to be cast after it.

So actually people will start to run 0 cc casting cost artefact in their SB in case that card hit the table ....

?

I will start collecting the orniothopters right away ...

By the way isnt that violating the stack rule ???

I mean if it was the spell that last resolved fine ...
but it means played ... (not successfully cast either)

So If I play counterspell can the the opponent cast another non blue non artefact spell in response ?? The last spell played in real time was blue, but that spell would resolve only after the other spell resolved, making thee casting of the first spell illegal arrrrgghhh I am getting a head hache

It seems that card if real will need a LOT of clarification - at least for me

"Played" means put on the stack.

With Mana Maze in effect you can't:

Counterspell a blue spell.
Play a blue spell after a Counterspell.

Basicly, it's a crappy Arcane Labratory. At best. All it does is force players to use at least two colors. A gimmic card that will only see casual play in fun decks...unless someone finds a freaky way to break it.

Mana Maze
Mana Cache
Mana Flare
Mana Clash

Only one of these is really useable...guess which.

This will surely make it to Counter Decks... Making the Counter Deck gain more power...

Just remember Deus, in the mirror match there will be no countering if one squeezes through.

Hmmmph, this is a confusing one, but it seems that no, blue mages can no longer counter blue spells. Weird hmm?
