What do slow environments often cause?
Creature stalls.

do or die would not work vs me..

my best deck has only 4 creatures in it (veteran brawlers) and i usually only bring one out, in case i need an emergency cave-in, or to psych the opponent into thinking i have a shock or something

i use chimeric idols for beatdown mostly. that and hammers of bogardan. do or die will not affect me at all
