Although and to which thing you key with sentence spelled and written with confusion brings, I seek help to bring and do with haste and grammar.

I've only traded here and have had no problems.
I've bought off eBay and have had no problems.

I also traded with some people on a mailing list. I think the money cards(10-20 dollars) are were the rippers are. If trading with someone ask for references. I was on MOTL an looking at a post someone had pointed out that the person posting had references from people in the same area and were all made the same day. Obviously a not very smart ripper but people were still trying to trade with him. I haven't been ripped in trading. I was ripped on ebay when I purchased a couple cards but those could have been honest mistakes. So in conclusion I have had good trading experiences here and on MOTL and on a mailing list.

I have never been ripped off trading online, though I have been on Ebay (and I wouldn't have been ripped, had I been more careful).

Some tips would be to always get references, and check them out. If they don't have 5 refs that you are absolutely sure of (like above, make sure that they're not all in the same area, etc.), then make them send first. Trade only with people with tons of references until you have a bunch and can make others send first. Keep steady contact, and have them notify you when they get the cards, when they send the cards, etc.

And make sure they're serious. I once traded with a kid, and had him send first. Over the next two weeks, I sent him 4 emails, and he never responded. I finally caught him online on AOLIM and asked him where the card was. He said he changed his mind, but didn't notify me because he thought I might be mad.

Most traders are good people. There are rippers out there, but don't be afraid to trade because of a small minority. If you are careful, you should be fine.

And hurry up and unload those Pokemon cards. You're a disgrace.:p

MOTL is a good place to trade. Make sure you trade with people who have a lot of refs(25+), even if they are small trades. (my first trade was all commons).

After you have built up a bunch of refs (around 15) you can ask people to send first if they have less than you.

If you still feen insecure, you can go through a third party.
