The New Jersey Chronicles are the funniest movies I have seen. The short-lived animated series, "Clerks", (only 2 were aired, yet six appeared on the DVD that I have) was just as funny. Does anybody else share my opinion?

The director of these movies, Kevin Smith, filmed all of these movies with a theme: Jay and Silent Bob have some part in it. These movies have been increasing in popularity because they love these characters. All of these movies have some connection to New Jersey, as well. So, these have been dubbed "The New Jersey Chronicles". If you haven't seen any of these, you need to see them all. If you have seen a few of these, you need to see the rest. If you have seen all of them............watch them over again.

Zen-master Kevin 'Silent Bob' Smith is the man. I call him Zen-master b/c he is silent the entire movie until the very end when he graces us with 1 quote that you can carry around with you for the rest of your life. All of his movies are funny and raunchy, but what makes them REALLY great is how intelligent they are. Even if you don't agree with a character's view or can't relate to their lifestyle, you feel like you totally understand when the movie is over.

Clerks is the funniest, Dogma is the most ambitious and boundary pushing, but Chasing Amy is the best of his films. Its easily one of my favorite movies ever.

It should say a lot about a producer/director/writer who becomes a national success building his entire career in Red Bank New Jersey.

All these movies rock, with the exception of Mallrats which I think sucked big time. But c'mon, the best was obviously Clerks.

Dude, don't get me wrong. Clerks was AWESOME, that was our (my friends and I) movie in high school. It definitely is the funniest, I just think for multiple reasons that Chasing Amy was his best movie: stronger, more meaningful plot, deeper characters, more intelligent humor, etc. etc.

I have to agree with Mikeymike on this one. Clerks is the funniest, while Chasing Amy is the best overall. Despite this, I find that quotes from Clerks are more recognizable than quotes from other movies. When you see the movie, you'll understand why.

It helps to have worked in public service (a grocery store, in my case) when it comes to truly appreciating Clerks, though.

Ransac -- are the cartoons on the DVD of the movie Clerks, or on their own DVD?
