Not the Bolas (But my Commander is) [EDH]

Nicol Bolas was one of the only Legends legends for which I still had not built a deck. Well, now I've changed that. I make people discard their cards. I'm not the Bolas, but the Bolas is in my command zone. This deck probably doesn't constitute much of a threat if I can't get Waste Not onto the field. But it sure does make opponents discard cards.

Played this deck twice last week. In its first game, I kept losing life to triggers that my opponents controlled. Knowing that I was about to die, I managed to recur Windfall and deck myself.

In the second game, I held on until I was one of just two players left, but my opponent had me completely outclassed. I was able to cast Nicol Bolas, but my opponent had several 20 flyers or something.

I had another game in which my repeated use of Windfall with Waste Not and Geth's Grimoire went crazy. This time, I didn't kill myself and even managed to make a huge zombie army. But of course I empowered one of my opponents to take me out, and once I was out of the way he was able to battle the other two, eventually coming out on top.

Last night, I picked the wrong to try this deck. Not only was there an archenemy at the table, but my deck wasn't really equipped to fight him, and instead it mostly fed him more cards. He'd have won either way, and seemed way too into it. Pubstompers.
