New WotC boxed set

In case anyone wants to know, teh cards with the alternate art are:

Ball Lightning
Erhnam Djinn
Clockwork Beast
Sengir Vampire

There's also a supposedly misprinted Clockwork Avian that doesn't have flying on it.

I'd seen the cards on eBay, but I had no idea where they were from.

Too bad they didin't reprint anything that we can use in 'legal' decks, unless we are doing the Type 1 or 1.5 thing.

Maybe 7th will reprint some of the cards...

And apparently, judging from the Deck forum, there's still some people who play Type 1 or 1.5.

Speaking of 7th, and don't take this too deeply, but I've heard that Serra Angel will show her face in 7th. I heard it plenty of times; from random people. It might be a rumor, but we'll never know until someone confirms it.

Serra Angel back? Wouldn't that be something to look for? I certainly will look for it.

As for ten cards with the alternate art, I would love having 4 of those new Lighting Bolts. Anyone knows if there'll be foil versions of these cards?

I'm going to get Beatdown, I always have liked the box sets like this. BTW does anyone know how much it costs? I would guess $25 since that is what Battle Royal cost.

Darsh -- It's $24.95 (US) plus tax.

Cateran Emperor -- Foils AND black bordered, while the rest are white bordered.

Not a bad set, actually. Shivan Dragon, Mahamatoi Djinn, Leviathan, and Clockwork Avian kept the old artwork, but are always good, in my book.

What's bugging my mind is that why didn't they make a foil Lighting Bolt?

They DID make a foil Lightning Bolt, but it's an Arena prize (and worth about $80).

Do you mean get a foil booklet in every booster pack? How did you get that from what Darsh said? I took it to mean because you're getting this box set, you're getting a booklet. I don't think they're coming in every booster pack.

i have the box the book really cool, Richard Garfield is talking about how he loves big creatures, and how he was the one behing Lord of the pit ,Force of nature(also in the set), and other large creatures with draw backs, the ball lightning is alternate art but not very good art, but its still a ball lightning, the clock work avian doesn't have flying, and the alternate art on the sengir vamp is really cool, but if you look at it it looks more like the baron the the regular sengir

I think what Darsh's description means is that each booklet has full color printing with nice semi-gloss paper quality vs. the old 5th ed. rule books that were strictly black and white and cheap quality.

Anyone know where I can get 1 of these sets? Wizards store? Ebay? Sell my soul? Totally worth the $25.
