New Werewolf Signup

Okay...We have several important deadlines coming up at work in the very near future, so I probably won't get a chance to actually get this started until mid to late next week. But after that, I should be able to keep things moving.

In addition to signing up, there seemed to be decent feedback on the twist from last game. Do we want to do something like that again?

The alibi's from last game were intended to help get things started and give people reasons to accuse and discuss last game. What was everyone's take on that and should we do something like that again?

Everyone seems to think that the ghost counsil as a tie-breaker is a good idea. Ghost counsil cannot communicate with living and each will PM a vote. Should the ghost counsil be able to communicate among themselves? My concern is the seer, but if ghost counsil is only a tie breaker, I don't think that's a problem.

Another twist that I'll throw out there as one I'm considering would be a "werewolf trainer". Basically, there would only be 1 werewolf, plus the trainer. If both are killed, villagers win. If the werewolf dies and the trainer is still alive, he becomes a trainer. The only real difference is that if you manage to hang the trainer, you won't know it. If we allow the ghost counsil to communicate with each other, it allows for a "seer bluff".

I'm open to input. The only thing I definitely want to do this time is the ghost counsil.

I'm in.

I'm not sure I actually used the alibis that much. It just prevented me from voting for the person I chose, that's all.

Ghost council is fine how you describe it.

Trainer sounds weird, but we can try it.

I'm in.

I am not getting the trainer part though; its like a werewolf, only when hanged it appears to be a person? It sounds fun, but it removes the much of information the villagers normally have: after a couple of rounds, knowing who turns out to be a villager and who is a wolf after they die is all you've got to go on.

Concerning PM'ing: None except by and through the game leader?

And what will the Ghost Council do?

I'm in.... isn't it Council.... Oh, I see that Limited caught that as well... :D How about if the ghosts of those killed by the wolf get to visit the seer... and discuss events with them... we could do it through you - to maintain the secrecy of the seer....

I'll be wolf fodder......
Please outline all the rules and interactions prior to the start of the game. That last one took me by surprise, I got the connection, just not that they would get the seer info. And in a earlier game there was a mysteriuos silver bullet floating around most didn't know about.

The alibis were cool and the "can't vote for one person" was a good way to create alliances, even if they were unintentional. It was interesting to see who players selected, as some players were selected multiple times and almost locked them into living the first 2 days.

Hey,
I love playing this game in IRL and I'd like to join. But someone will have to explain if there are any differences between this and the RL version. Does anyone go to dragoncon? A few years ago there were some awesome werewolf circles that played til about dawn, I didn't sleep for two days because Iwas playing so much werewolf at night.

No problem, TheUglyKnight. We'll go over all the guidelines again before we get underway.

*spies a bandwagon and jumps on*

Wow, look at the turnout! The last game must have been quite the spectator sport.

I didn't know the seer would get my link either, but it was cool...

I thought turgy22 did the best role-playing last game :)

WHAT???

*Rushes Spiderman, then starts choking him.

(HA! I agree, though. Turgy was very good. I thought he was the Seer, and very subtle about it.)
