New half booster packs

Well this isn't that new, but magic has release have booster packs at certain retail outlets that cost about half, but you get less cards, and no certainty of rarity. I finally saw one the other day. I didn't find myself tempted to buy one. What do you all think of them?

If that means that it's possible to get rare(s) in any given half pack, then it's an interesting concept. If it means there's an uncommon in every 15th pack or something, it's ridiculous. But I think that even if I were still buying cards, I'd probably stick to the old reliable 11-3-1 distribution.

I feel the same way rokapoke. If I'm not getting a rare for sure, I'd rather save my pennies until I am sure.
