Need Help With a Soldier Deck

Im trying to make a blue/white soldier deck. I have a deck made, but I know there are way too many singles and Im not sure what to add/subtract/get more of to make it better. For money on extra cards I can probably spend from $10-$20 maximum. Any help is apprieciated

Go to the search engine at CrystalKeep and type in Soldier for Creature Type and Creature for Card Type. See if there's any other Soldiers from older sets that you want and I can see if I have them and send you some.

We need to know what restrictions to format you have. Is you play group Type 1, standard or extended.

I love Deftblade Elite. They are excellent. I would put 4 of them in. As well as 4 Whipcorder. Both of those can be offensive or defensive depending on the situation. Sword to Plowshares works very well with Wing Shards allowing a 3 for 2 advantage.

I would lower your casting cost some and take out inefficient spells like Reward the faithful, Hindering Touch, and Temporal Fissure.

Also think about mass pumpers that white is excellent for Crusade, Shared Triumph, and Glorious Anthem. Mobilization would also work well. As well as Daru Stingers and Aven Warhawk.

This may cost you 20 dollars, but would help...

Buy 2 of the 7th precons with Glorious anthem in them, then spend the rest of your limit on an Aven Brigadier - he gives the bonus to birds and soldiers...

The 2 glorious anthems would boost your soldiers... then the Aven, and your guys would be a little stronger...

If this is OnBC - the anthems are out - but you could get some Shared triumphs...

And harsh mercy would not be bad...

I have revised this deck. I didnt include any of the spells you all suggested because they were all rather expensive I will probably get some of them later if possible though. Anyways, I got rid of the expensive spells like you said rkoelsch, including Mind's Desire; it didnt seem to be doing much good. Obviously I have taken a liking towards Bird Soldiers. I kept Ironfist Crusher in there for the combo with it and Sandskin though, and I added Daru Warchiefs to lower the mana cost, even if Aven Brigadier adds +2/+2 and it adds +1/+2(plus, its cheaper than AB). Do you think I have too many spells and not enough soldiers? Any suggestions about the spells to toss, if you think I should? Also, do you think I should just toss blue and go mono-white?

Soldiers are overshadowed by their brethren...Townsfolk. They'll always be living in the townsfolk shadow.

pm me your address, I will send you some cards that may help. Also let me know if you cannot play with the older cards. I have several boxes of cards just collecting dust. I would rather they get used and I would like to promote soldiers. Now to go a completely different way. Online I have a RW soldier deck. A lot of soldiers have first strike and that goes well with direct damage.

Gravel slinger wouldn't be bad with the first strike option either - and he's a soldier.
