Card Name: Goblin Charbelcher
Color: A
Cost: 4
Type: Artifact
Pow/Tgh:
Rules Text: 3, T: Reveal cards from the top of your library until
you reveal a land card. Goblin Charbelcher deals damage
equal to the number of nonland cards revealed this
way to target creature or player. If the revealed land
card was a Mountain, Goblin Charbelcher deals double
that damage instead. Put the revealed cards on the
bottom of your library in any order.

I think you should run 10 mountains and no more... not even the dual lands...

Gambles get the charlbelcher... then you smak them silly...

Bolts, fireblasts, etc...

A lot of artifact mana...

Furnace of rath - ouch...

If you include Blue you can run Mana Severance, which guts as many lands out of your library as you'd like.

Mana Severance.

Since its cheap and splashable, its a pretty easy combo with the Charbelcher.

Parallel Thoughts could work quite well also, since it would work well in 2 ways.

1 - Earlier in the game it can allow you to dig out your missing combos pieces.
2 - Later in the game it can allow you to remove lands from your deck.

There's an artifact I got in Mirrodin that puts a permanant you own on the bottom of your deck.

Strip out all the lands, put mountain on the bottom. Cook.

I got one...

What I'm putting it in is a R/W Seismic Assault Dec.

Use Land Tax to get your lands out - You'll also have Seismic assault to pitch the lands to. Plus you can put in Wrath for defense. I would skip the Black... But then I haven't tried your deck.

Oh, and if you have any Soldevi Diggers it will let you put your Mountains on the bottom once you pitch them.

I thought of this as soon as I saw the Charbelcher:

GOBLIN RECRUITER

visions uncommon or common

cast for R1

"when goblin recruiter comes into play search your library for ANY NUMBER of goblins and put them on top of your library in any order."

There's no better combo for the charbelcher.

Why would you put anything but mountains in a deck like that?

If you're willing to dip into blue, look into Soothsaying.
But this deck creates an actual use for...

*choke*

....Orcish Spy!!!

He DID put nothing but mountains in this deck. Duallands count.... But yeah, Mana severance is the much simpler way to do it. The last saturaday school said that if you don't have a land card left in your deck, then you just flip over your deck, burn them for that many cards, and then STACK YOUR WHOLE DECK, which makes it great in multiplayer games.

But using the Mana Severance combo you don't even need to worry about running red at all, because you're just flipping your whole deck over anyway, (And using other cards to slip mountains back under your library is just overkill: if your flipping your deck over in the mid-game, you're doing 30 points of damage anyway).

If I was doing it Type 1, like you are, I'd keep it blue/black, maybe splash white for the enlightened tutor and the swords to plowshares. Play heavy vontrol and just set up your easy two-card combo.

It could work pretty good in extended too.
