As you all know, Neroplasm is a Golgari card that powers up with +1/+1 counters every turn, then destroys all creatures with the same mana cost as the number of +1/+1 on him, so he eventually destroys himself with his own effect. There are some ways around this, however. Doubling Season is obvious, as it will skip 3 counters, giving it two instead of one, making the interval of counters 2, 4, 6, etc. Shambling Shell is also good, pop it out on the third turn that necroplasm is out, sacrifice it, and it gets a fourth counter and doesn't destroy itself.
