National Gaming Day

Apparently National Gaming Day is coming this Saturday, 11/15, at your library and caught this from the Gamespy newsletter (bold mine):

Hasbro is donating board games, and Wizards of the Coast is donating copies of Magic: The Gathering and the latest edition of Dungeons & Dragons. Videogames are also playing a role - a national tournament will be held featuring Rock Band, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Dance Dance Revolution.

I work at my library. That I haven't heard anything about this suggests to me that we're not among the libraries participating (odd, because if we're not, the rest of the system probably isn't either, and since we're supposedly the second largest library system in the nation, one would think we'd be in on this).

Ask your head library person and see if they've heard of it and if so, why they're not participating.
