4 skizzik(god forbid they scour my fires)
4 kavu chameleon(not a bad creature, for type 2 format)
2 serpatine kavu(see above comments)
4 blastoderm( lets face it, it's too good not to go in)
2 kavu titan(5 for a 5/5 trample, i'll take it)
save my ass in case anything goes wrong creatures(2)

well i think all of us should know how fires works by now, any comments or critiques

Wot, no Saproling Burst?
They are kind of the point.

Actually, I was thinking you could further tech Finkel`s R/G/w Fires deck by adding Sterling Grove. So many decks are Wax/Waning that a Grove not only searches up your best spells, but also protects them from your opponent.

first things first, serpintine kavu, it's an ok card but i belive there are better type two creatures out there for this kind of deck. the one i would put in this deck is Jade leech...before you start laughing ur a** off at me look at the two cards

the jade leech draw back may seem severe at first bu7t w/ fires decks, low cost creatures and birds and elves nullify that draw back

jade leech is cheaper that serpintine kavu and is stronger, plus fires gives it haste so it's better than the kavu

dawnstrider, replace w/ two more kavu titan, they will save ur a** much more than dawnstrider will

get rid of ghitu fire and get 1 more shock
then w/ the open 1 slot put in 2 urza's rage and take out one forest

GET BRUSHLAND :)

and take out 2 mountain and two forest

otherwise i really like ur deck it kicks @$$

i wouldn't laugh at the consideration of jade leech, i was considering it myself, but most of the deck was built around what i had so far
why brushland, what would i need white mana for

oh and in response to gizmo, the reason is because i wanted my own fires deck, not directly ripping off Zvi Mowshowits, which is why it has no saproling bursts or chimeric idols, although i do see how they could fit into the deck

and i don't know why, but for some reason i can't bear to part with the dawnstriders

i was thinking about those if i can get some i will, otherwise i doubt it'll be a problem

Ooh, how about "Tech-fires?"

Use saporling bursts, aura mutation, sterling grove, enlightened tutors.

when i first started buildiing this deck(back when invasion came out, and i got my booster box) i had blended it with black, i had 4 blazing specters in it and 2 morinfen, and 4 thunderscape master...although it one alot of games it just wasn't fast enough for me
so i took out the black, and decided to make this deck, where it wasn't completely screwed if there was no fires i mean 4 skizziks and the serpatine kavu will have haste anyway, and the dawnstriders in case of nasty flyers and no fires...heh that ryhmed
