my customized affinity (GRU) took 2nd at tournament

4 tooth of chiss-gloria (didn't think it was good at first. i was wrong)

If you're gonna go so heavy into affinity, you gotta get some broodstars.

I like Naturalize, as its a nice touch. However, it isn't the wise choice if you plan on running against a Mirrodin-heavy metagame--card draw is.

Interesting design.

Everyone says broodstar, and it's not a bad idea, but maybe in sideboard for artifact haters. I like the idea of going AGro without it... everyone is suprised...

besides... i don't like sitting on a broodstar when im not able to cast it early on.

with my build, you 90% of the time can cast into everything so fast...


i was thinking 2 cursed scrolls, because my hand is always empty.

draw... ping for two... play.... repeat next turn...

Hey, that scroll ain't too bad of an idea.

As for inability to cast Broodstar--I just don't get it. The only time I have trouble casting my own is when I happen to not have UU ready, and never the colorless mana, even when it is 5 or so.

Artifact mana, such a Sol Ring (and if you can get moxes) would help speed up the deck, too.

Have you had any trouble with those enchantments that let you only play one spell a turn (Rule of Law and there's an older one, I think)? Or is that what the Naturalize is for?

On the other hand - to help your deck - maybe a rule of law, or arcane laboratory would help you in a type 1 environment...
