Murphy's Delivery Driver Laws

Holy crap. Maybe I think I should intern for R&D. However, I just became one step closer to finding a dream job. Now, to find something that fits that dream structure.

As for that senior driver....he left. Now, I'm the senior driver. Oh, and I just got another "do this one more time and you're fired!" warning, for a new thing.

So, a tally. If I...
...cuss in front of a customer...
...get angry inside the shop...
...throw anything inside the shop...
...or (NEW!) don't answer the boss when questioned...
...or (NEW!) walk away from the boss when talked to...
...I will be fired.

Oh, and I ignored orders from another manager to the point where she had to call the store owner. And, I managed to get her ticked at me by telling the owner about her favoritism towards one of the employees. All of this in just one day!

At this point, with this post looking like a blog entry, should I just try to get fired from my wonderful, lovely pizza job? Or should I just light the building on fire like Milton from Office Space?

Do you think your managers will find your blog online? Or are you not concerned or don't care about that?

A little of both, actually. If they find my stuff and get mad, well, they can kiss my grits for all I care. But in the meantime, I doubt they'll find it because they're dumb as rocks.

"I've never read comic books because I always had more important things to do with my life" --true quote from the owner's brother, who apparently used his spare time to do important things like play basketball and get seriously injured multiple times, incluing one time where he required a back operation that left him a couple inches shorter than he used to be.

Yeah, I'd much rather lose pieces of my spine in stupid basketball games than read a good comic in the safety of my room. /cynicism

What a moron.

I don't know if the quote summarizes it enough, but the guys are total jerks, bullies, and jocks. They suck, and I enjoy it every time when they blow up at me and I just look back at them, all collected and calm. Tis tons of fun! :D

To be in two places at once? Interesting!

Actually, I am still with the job, and am the senior driver now, as the guy senior to me quit. Plus, I've started to play things more politically now. The assistant manager really hates the owner and his brother, so I'm using that to my advantage, to get on the owner and boss's good sides and just randomly complain about the asst mngr.

Not working as well as I thought, but it might just wind up in her (asst mngr) leaving the store, which would be awesome. :D

There really is no frontrunner for the asst manager position should one arise.

Myself, I'm counted as hardest and best worker among the non-management crew, but I'm sooooo close to getting fired, I think the boss would find it an unwise investment of training time to promote me. Plus, I've lied to him and within earshot of him that I "don't like being a leader" when in fact I do. I would love to be a manager. The reason I lie is because I've known the management was corrupt from day one, and I didn't want to be their Number One pawn, the way I see the asst manager being used.

The other frontrunner is somebody they know is lazy. She's a fat Oaxacan sasquatch-looking pig. But, she's the asst manager's friend and has been given little powers and priviledges by both her best friend, the asst manager, and the boss himself. Scary.

All things considered, yeti girl would be their prime candidate. She would be just as bad as the current asst manager, but twice as lazy. She'd get fired fast, though. In the meantime it would suck.

Maybe after that...maaaybe, I'd stand like a 3% chance of getting promoted. At which time the boss would just choose to go without an asst manager until one of the cooks or other drivers proved promotable, and I'd drop to 1% possibility of promotion. ;) :D
