A convicted murderer has been released in Argentina after his 'victim' turned up alive and well.
Ruben Dario Ovejero, from Tucuman, was arrested in 2003 after he was accused of murdering Pedro Roldan.
He maintained he was innocent but he was found guilty by a local judge and sent to Villa Urquiza prison.
But last week Mr Roldan was spotted alive on the streets of Tucuman by Mr Ovejero's sister.
She told La Gaceta newspaper: "I woke up with my daughter screaming she had seen a ghost but it was Mr Roldan, alive and drunk walking the streets!
"When I saw him I almost died, I was so scared. But then I grabbed him by the ears and told him my brother was in prison."
Mr Roldan told the police he had moved to another town to try his luck and had no idea people thought he was dead.

If I were Pedro Roldan, I would visit Ruben Dario Ovejero in prison and laugh at him and then run away...

Okay, really I would do no such thing but it would be funny in a horrible sort of way...

No, they have justice systems that actually attempt to punish people.
