The deck usually sets up by playing out a bunch of elves and Wellwisher. It then drops its Sylvan Library and uses it's extra life to draw more cards through the Library and to set up the Smokestack. Since it draws so many cards and can produce lots of mana, the Smokestack doesn't affect me as much as it will affect my opponents. It usually wins by Hystrodon beatdown or with a large Hurricane.

I like this but...

it seems your creatures are fairly weak (except maybe Wood Elves, I can't remember what they do offhand). What do you do if you get beat down early so the extra life you start to gain is to offset that, instead of drawing cards?

I don't think you'd need the slates of ancestry... but then... I can't think of much to replace them... maybe a chain of acid or 2...
