I'm one of those people who likes Music, or Music genres that contridict each other: for example Techno and Rap

Anyway What do those of you who heard it think of the new Eminem song "Without Me"

I think it is an amazing song and crank it up everytime I here it. I can't wait 'til his CD comes out in June!!!

LMK...what you think!!!!!

I'd say Techno and Rap were very closly related.

A good bit of the rap that caught my ear(and drug it to the mp3 player) has been basically techno with lyrics stated over it.

As for the new M'N'M song, it's catchy. That's all I'll say, and that's mostly because of the "techno" underneith it. I'd say the video was clever, too, but I've only seen it twice.


Mabe Country and Techno might be complete opposites, or Rap and Polka.

Yeah, that sounds more like it, although if you put the lyrics to a techno beat or speed up the tempo, it can probably work.

Except for Aku, 'cause he doesn't like to explore all music genres....he seems to only like Techno and Techno related music genres

BTW: Aku did you get Moby's "18" CD yet? I think you will find it extemely gooooood!!!

I have indeed explored all music genres believe it or not.
Eminem, bah, he resorts to mocking Moby because he knows he can't release music as elegant and gracious as him. Not to mention Moby has been gaining huge popularity lately, and Eminem well,... hasn't.

Tabasco- I've only listened to one song of Moby's new CD, "We are all Made of Stars." I was quite disappointed at first, but the more I listen to the song, the more I like it. Ill critique the rest of the CD as soon as I get it.

That still doesnt change the fact that, well, Moby is to good for him, thats why Eminem resorts to mockery :cool:

Tobasco-I also bought Moby's new CD, it isn't very good IMO, is it just me, or does each song sound the same...?

I hate rap and I cant stand it, I rather listen to country then rap. In my book country, rap, oldies stinks but this is coming from a teenagers perspective. I like bands like Godsmack, System of a Down, Sum 41, Green Day, disturbed, Jimmy Eat World etc.....

I have to admit, I do like the new Eninem song, and I've never been a fan of his (although I do respect him, his is a very talented rapper). I have no idea why he singles out Moby though...

Moby's new album - the first time I listened to it I had Deja Vu, it was like I was listening to his last album (Play) but with the songs in a different order. I give it a 7.5 in terms of quality, a 2 in terms of originality. Its a shame, like he found the formula that works for the masses in his last album and with 18 he follows it to a 'T'.

Want to hear a good new hip-hop album? Pick up Soundbombing III. Good non-mainstream hip-hop. None of that 'Bling-bling' crap, just the cream of the hip-hop crop.

Want to hear good electronica? Egads, I wouldn't know where to start for that is my other vice (besides Magic of course...and smoking...and staying up way too late). If anyone is interested in starting that discussion feel free.

I think Eminem singles out Moby because, well, in an interview Moby was doing for MTV I think, he was talking about the grammies (remember Eminem performed with Elton John and there was that big hoopla about it?) and suggested that Eminem himself was gay...

So maybe thats the reason?...

but that's the thing about Em though, he acts all hateful in his music such as to Christina Aguilara and Britney Spears(The Marshall Mathers LP), but then he says that he would put his MTV music award next to his Britney posterduring his acceptance speech.

so you really never know with him!!

Even though I believe that the phrase "Rap Music" is an oxymoron, there's something about that song that makes it get stuck in your head...probably the techno part.

Eminem insults other bands becuase he knows he'll never be as good as them, except when he insults crap pop "bands."

He could never be as good as Moby...
