MOL: What To Buy?

Well, the offer has been sent to some: 11.99 free merchendise at the WotC store.

Your account costs .1, so you have 11.89 left to diddly about with.

Obviously, if the draft was the kind that would allow you to keep your land, I'd love to grab a good JOT block draft. If some cheezy poof raredrafts, and screw's my uncle, that's a failure, and I'll probably grab two worthwhile cards-- THEN have to BEG for LAND!

buggar that! And this being a computer product... *theorgg stops with his imagination, as it scares him.

So, what precon would ya'll pick? I'm leaning tward a Scalplexus, and simply pull the Worldgorger for the foil land that'll be slidden in there.

Anyone Else want to share suggestions?

I've personally got until August Seventh to figure it out.

Buy an Odyssey tournament pack.
Buy one Event Ticket.
Trade whatever remains of your certificate (your certificate number, their e-mail address) for a common or two.

That gets you basic land (which you can use to trade for more if you need to), some rares to use as tradestock, an Event Ticket you can use with some of the crap you get that you don't want to potentially trade for another booster pack, and a common or two of your choice.

And no, people are not just giving away basic land. It's at a premium right now.

Oh, BTW...I've spent $150 on the game, all I intend to spend until the issue of me being able to play in Sanctioned and Premium events is settled for good.

In one of my OD tournament packs, I pulled a foil Call of the Herd.

Can we say 'trump card for trading'?

:D

If you want to have fun and not just get the most ruthless killing machine on the Net, then I highly recommend getting the Spectral Slam deck. I have gotten that deck IRL, and it is very fun to play. On top of that, it is one of the few PreCon decks that you can actually use unaltered and not lose every time you play with it.

I'll get the Inundation deck, I really want to beat ppl with a horde of 1/1 dorks with stupid abilities.

Spectral Slam is too cheesy ;)

also if you're at MagicOnline type /addbuddy BadSeed to *surprise* add me to your buddy list :)

The cheap cure to a MOL addiction. At least for me it is.

Heck, I haven't even spent my 11.98 yet, and that surprises the heck out of me.

I'll likely as not get something to trade/give to a friend. I may or may not play the game, it's just too damn spendy for this family guy. If I hadn't already spent thousands on real cards I might be more likely, but I still have enough real players to contend with before seeking a virtual fix.

I will commend the programmers though, MOL is a great sim of the game. NWN looks to be the same for D&D.

"spectral slam" is a bit TOO good. IRL I've got a deck similar to it, but it just isn't my style.

It can be fun in a Chaos game sometime, but with the "attack left" jank, it's just not cool online.

I'm thinking of Air Razors, as CB seems to be a good deck for me...

I like the way it commonly plays.

For hotmail users with junk mail filters on, the MOL free card offer apparently gets sent into your JUNK MAIL folder. Since I usually have 100+ emails in there daily, I just emptied the folder without looking in it, so my 11.99 is gone. =( Anyone know if its possible to get the email sent again?

On another note, my friend has taken his 12 dollars and turned it into 200 and a psychatog deck... (selling packs at 2.75).

Same to you, eh, Kimba?

Oddly enough, I had mine sent to my Yahoo e-mail and forgot about it...

So mine was saved.

Try contacting somone who works at Hotmail to see if it can be retrieved, and try contacting somone at WOTC to see the same.

I am glad to see that the deleted junk mail coupons were not really lost, and WotC resent them.

What is funny is how the atmosphere from the time of this post to the modern day has changed quite a bit. Used to be a more casual atmosphere, at least more friendly. People would trade you if all you had was a precon. Interestingly, you would get reemed for lands, but that was really the only bad thing.

Now...well, with Brainburst and Star City covering it so much, we know how crappy the environment is now.
