Let's call it "Add-a-story Board RPG" As soon as I get a good amount of players, I'll offically get started. Make your characters what ever you want, but let's try and keep it sane. No space-age stuff or demons or the like. If some people are interested, this may be fun. If eveyone thinks this is stupid, then I'll find something else to do with my time at work.
(i'm making this up as i go, so any sugestions would be nice. think of it as a play-by- message-board game. as always, please disregard any spelling errors.)
The dank halls of the old dwarven stronghold of Tier Amon had been deserted for over 100 human generations. The history of ths old place was just as shrouded in mystery and misdirection as the ruins of the site itself. What was known was that in the final days of the Dwarven Empire, which once ruled from the vast desert of Day's Wrath to the Mountans of Narnyn, the keep at Tier Amon was invaded by the largest gathering of goblin-kind ever assembled. The Dwarves fought bravely, but in the end thier dwindling numbers could not hold back wave after wave of seemingly endless goblin and orc assults.
Since those times, the goblin folk has also abandoned the mountainside fortress because they were too disorginized to bring the huge complex under their control, leaving it to even more wicked things.
A young man named Pedazur stands outside the massive stone gates of Tier Amon. He is trim and fit, with a good set of dark traveling cloaths and a sword at his side. Although he seems to be a fine physical specimen, from his youth and wondering look in his eye tells that he lacks expierience in this sort of venture.
The front of the fortress has been carved out of the mountain side, the rest residing deep within the solid rock. Gigantic statues and pillers larger then the bigest trees adorn the front portion, with hundreds of raised battlements and arrow-slits hidden behind them.
Pedazur has been hired by the elders of the near by town of Radefel to determine if the place is safe for habitation. He is the first to arive at the site this morning, and he does not know who else has also been hired for this job. He turns and looks down the winding road to Radefel to see who might be joining him...

An old man dressed in ragged brown robes wanders up the path and introduces himself. His name is Galdan and he has been hired by the elders because he knows something of the magical forces of rock and fire. Dispite his age, he has had little practical experience, having spend most of his life secluded in a study with his research.
from: Rando Wednesday, May 31, 2000 - 12:52 pm
"Well met Galdan." says Pedazur. "It is good to see that I will have company on this expedition. My name is Pedazur, son of Raggit, a blacksmith in Radefel. I wonder who else will be joining us this day?"

In time, over the fields on a white mare, a young man rides towards the ruins. As he arrives he deftly handles his horse and stops directly in front of those allready there. He does not appeared to be dressed for the kind of dirty dungeon crawling this is expected to be. Fine leather riding gloves, a snowy white suit that would seem more appropriate for a ball than a rider and an ornate sword in a sheath bedecked with all sorts of finery. Agilely the young man leaps of the back of his horse and with a flourish of his riding cape, introduces himself as Ridal A'Bornia. "So this is the group we have so far?" he says in an almost excessively cheerful voice. "Not much of a group but it will have to do unless we are joined by anyone else before we enter..."

A short man wearing a human-like mask walks up the path. His appearance is a strange one, a blue cloak around him, the mask on his face, which seems to move a little, is pale white. He has a leather bag at his waist, and is obviously a trained wizard. "Greetings," he says, "I hope I can assist you on this journey despite my poor physical condition. I am skilled with magic." He walks to the gate, looks at it in deep thought a while, then steps back. "Oh," he says, "I didn't tell you my name. I am Felas" He then goes back to staring at the gate.
from: Rando Wednesday, May 31, 2000 - 04:46 pm
"Greetings Sir A'Bornia! I am Pedazur, at your service, and I am afraid this maybe all the party we have. Galdan and I have been waiting for quite some time. Tell me, with what do you plan to do with your horse when we enter this place?"
from: Ericbess Wednesday, May 31, 2000 - 04:48 pm
"Oh," begins Galdan, "hello. Um, a...a horse I see. Yes... Well... I'm ah, not ah, really used to animals...as it were. He, uh, won't be joining us indoors will, um, he?" Sweat beads on his forhead as he tries to put Pedazur between himself and Ridal's mount.
from: Rando Wednesday, May 31, 2000 - 04:52 pm
"A good morning to you Felas." says Pedezur. "I am Pedezur. This is begining to look more and more like an expedition party. Perhaps we should go on in..."

A shadow appeared before everyone. Someone was walking toward the silent group. As he was getting closer, you could see his face, and his expression. Now, you could see him. Yes.
The man was tall, dark, and with black shor hair.
He wore a tight, black, leather-like shirt, and was wearing what appeared to be some kind of a baggy-pants. The pants weren't normal. He had all kind of pokets in them. Keys everywere, chains everywhere, small lock picks, 1 hand knife in each of his 12 pockets. He also had small, undefined, mechanical stuff which were all collected in a neat neckless the mas was wearing around his neck. He also wore what appeaerd to be a chest plate on him. His hands were dirty. He appeared like a man who has just escaped a battle. The man looked strong. Not too strong though, but strong enough for...
He apporched the group, smiling as if something funny just happened. He walked slowly-everyone was keeping an eye on him. He looked some what treacherious.
He walked, until he's with the group.
"I heared of this...*smiling*..this..journey. I know I could be of a great..aahm...assist." said the smiling man.
"My name is Rebrouge" said the man.
He sat on a nearby rock, waiting in excitement, yet patiently for the journey to begin.

"Well, it seems we have quite a full party, I believe that it is time to enter the caverns and come what may, we shall succeed," said Ridal in his grandiose manner, "Of course Galda shall remain outside while we attempt this difficult quest, I do not fear danger but I will not subject the horse to the confines of the caverns. Who knows what we shall find inside, but together we shall triumpth." And with that Ridal swept his cape behind him and strode towards the entrance.
from: DÛke Wednesday, May 31, 2000 - 07:46 pm
This is a side note: from now on, I'm gonna be Rebrouge in the story, so what ever I say or do is what Rebrouge is doing and saying. I'm Rebrouge, believe it.
Come ON! Let's go. I've been waiting for long now. Jeeeese, I don't wanna wait on Pedazur...He looks like a weak man...
from: Wahoo Wednesday, May 31, 2000 - 07:55 pm
Felas turns from his trance to face the rest of the group. "There is a great evil in there," he says, "What it is, I cannot be sure. But there is something evil. We should be careful. We should go in there as soon as possible, before the evil learns we are here."
from: DÛke Wednesday, May 31, 2000 - 08:03 pm
Evil or whatever, let's go in. I'm growing impatient.
*Smiling* I can't wait to go in there. Too bad we have to wait on the slower links.
from: Melkor Wednesday, May 31, 2000 - 08:51 pm
Ridal hesitates momentarily before partially moving a fallen rock, in the way of the main entrance. He peers in and begins a slow walk into the portal. After going about 20 feet in he returns to the main group returning a somewhat dirty handkerchief to his riding satchel. "Are the rest of you coming? It would appear that the tunnel seems to descend sharply almost exactly where the light from the sun stops revealing the terrain, probably some genius of Dwarven engineering. We'll obviously need torches and perhaps we should choose some sort of order in which to travel. I insist that I take the lead though."
from: DÛke Wednesday, May 31, 2000 - 11:29 pm
Ok, Ridal, take the lead. Did you speak of torches? Ok, I have something similar.
*I look through one of my pockets, and find something that appears to be some kind of an ancient lightning device. It's round shaped, small, like a small sphere, whith a glowing center.*
Here, Ridal, can you see how to operate this thing? I stole...Oooops, I mean bought it from an a rebel trader. He never taught me how to use it. If you could operate it, it could light up the place for a fair amount of time...Go ahead, don't be afraid, take it, try to operate it....
from: Wahoo Thursday, June 01, 2000 - 06:12 am
"Ahh, yes. One of those. You must be very rich," Felas says, "To get one to work, you must give it an electric charge, then it will be lit for months. But alas, lightning magic is not my area of expertise. Can anyone here conjure up a good lightning bolt? Or will we have to wait for the next storm?"
from: Rando Thursday, June 01, 2000 - 08:20 am
{Sorry guys. I (gasp) don't have a computer with an internet conection at home so I've got to do all of this at work.}
The stone gate of Tier Amon is about 20 feet tall and 12 feet wide, split down the middle in a double door. The righthand door would apear to have a very large crack in it, wide enough to fit a man. From the rocks directly on the other side of the crack, it seems that someone has busted this hole out with something.
There is just enough sunlight outside to get a glimpse of the interior. You can all see a large hall with pairs of collums running down the center about 15 or 20 feet apart. The floor is of polished black marble, though now covered with a good layer of dust. At the back of the room in the middle of the 2 rows of collums, you can all see a large chair or throne. From the glint of sun reflecting off of it, it apears to be made of gold.
The inside is too dark to see the ceiling or what is beyond the collum rows.
from: Ericbess Thursday, June 01, 2000 - 10:30 am
"Um, well yes. Torches would be nice." Began Galdan... "But, this place appears to already have sconces throughout. So, um...If nobody minds..."
And with that, all of the sconces in the room suddenly lit with fire. Nobody was prepared for the sight that awaited them...
from: Rando Thursday, June 01, 2000 - 10:43 am
Each of the collums is carved from ceiling to floor with runes, sigils and other strange glyphs. The ceiling it'self was at least 50 feet from the floor. It is carved from wall to wall with detailed figures of dwarves engaged with in battle with what apear to be elves. The chair at the back of the room is indeed made of gold, and is set up on a raised stone platform with 3 steps leading up to it. The chair is inlaid with hundreds of silver settings for jewels, but almost all of the jewels are gone, the result of some thief's handy work. There is one jewel left, on top of the left arm of the throne. It is a large ruby, and there are many gouges and scrapes around it in the gold. It would seem that someone tried to get this one to. Behind the throne on the wall is a molding and tattered tapestry depicting a noble looking dwarf in armour and brandishing a double bladed axe.
Behind the collums on both sides is a large double door in the middle of the wall. The set of doors on the right is busted down. The set of doors on the left is still intact.
from: DÛke Thursday, June 01, 2000 - 11:34 am
"I this place is of a treasure. Hmmmm, look at that rube everyone? Does anyone wanna take it?
I'll try taking it..."
*I get out one of my chains that is 5 feet long, and I get out 5 other similar chains. I clip all of the together to create a chain that is 30 feet long. The end of the chain had small, spear made out of undefiend material.*
"Ok, ya'll look at this chain, I'm gonna try knocking the ruby out of it's place and see what's happens..."
*I take the chain, and swing it around about 3 or 4 times, not minding if someone gets hit. I throw the chain at the ruby, but I miss. I repeat this process one more time, and I knock the ruby out of it's uniquly caved place*
"Hey, look, the ruby is knocked down. Do you think I should go get it, Felas?"
