Magic 1000 Nearing

Well I jut noticed on the Tig Ol Bitty article (loved it, by the way! sexist card reviews are AWESOME! :D) that we're nearing the site's 1000th article.

Obviously there's no cakes, party hats, and/or fireworks saved up for this. But it does seem kinda neat and in a way a milestone. I like the idea, and hope like hell mine is magic number 1000 (actually, I hope one of mine is 1337, but that's for a bit down the road...)

Who will get it? Will there be a little bit of a kick in article numbers as people try to get to it? Or will millenium fears strike in and cause readers/writers to scream and panic about the sky falling?

Jeebus will come and yell at us for playing a devil game when we reach 1000. The end is nigh! :D

I think no one would have noticed if you didn't say anything... :D

I'd have to check the actual number we're on, but I'd guess you'll hit it :)

Well... I noticed... and set up fireworks and shtuffs.... but due to technical difficulties, I seemed to have instead set up the fireworks incorrectly and bombarded the neighboring site with a deadly barrage of mortars with the test firing...

At least I'm not trying to give the site "more power."

If the page where the articles are divided up into sections is accurate, there are closer to 900 articles, so we still have a ways to go before we reach 1,000.

I don't think it's accurate then, as when you click on the Daughter M94 story, the articleid is 998. So if we're only two away, it's probably going to be one of SeFRo/Notepad's stories...

I hadn't thought of that. But check out the articleid numbers on all the articles after that. They don't seem to be going in a completely linear order. The articleid on one of them is 1014, and there have not been 16 articles since the Daughter M94 piece...

You're right, it depends on when it was submitted. When I look at the articles in the queue, I do skip around. So it is probably one of SeFRo's stories that is the 1000. But you'd have to keep checking to see which it is :)

Crazy me and my writing flood. We'll get to 1337 in no time this way! And to those who have avoided my fiction because of the 20-plus-page documents that would take the better part of your lunch break to get through, not to worry! These new sections are in daily bite size portions, perfect for the busy gamer's reading schedule. :D
