Well, You find all sorts of people at these tournaments. I'm usualy a casualplayer myself, but since I know few who play I usualy only play PTQ's and Prereleases.

I've met the warmonger before, some quiet guys, and some idiots. (really, it shouldn't take a kid 10 minutes to untap, draw, play a land, and say go) I've been insulted to the point of fuming for the night. And destroyed when 80% of all my cards were stolen.

But usualy the expirience is still fun. Creating some wierd deck out of the crap I always seem to get and seeing how far it goes. I placed 2nd once at a local PTQ thing, and even won a booster draft. Though my success rate goes with the flip of a coin.

Results from PTQ San Diego:
2: 2: 2 :p

I must say that at when I first started going to Neutral Ground, NY, I was asking pro players for advice ALL THE TIME, and pretty much everybody was friendly and helpful. Especially Zvi and Alex Shvartsman, who never refused to look at my deck and give me advice.. of course, once the advice I got from Alex was "The only way this can beat Replenish is if you use Amulet of Quoz" :D

What format was THAT advice for? The Ammy is banned in everything short of 5! :)
