Nothing Special
I don't know if anyone else has been following this, but at Londes.com, they're running a 3-month long writing competition called Londes Idol. Basically, 40 people got selected to submit two articles based on some guidelines set by the editor over there. Right now, they're running 10-person "heats" where the top 3 people will have a chance to move on to the next round. At that point, 2 people will be eliminated from the competition every week.
Currently, it's in the second week and I was chosen to participate. The first assignment was to write about an Extended-legal deck based around one of the four alt-win cards of Coalition Victory, Chance Encounter, Epic Struggle or Test of Endurance. The articles from the second assignment will probably be posted starting tomorrow, with voting beginning on Friday or Saturday.
As much as I wanted to come here and ask for everyone to vote for me (like some people are apparently doing at other sites), I'd rather win on my own merits. But if you'd like to check out the competition anyway, here's a link to the current round of articles. Some of them are really good, so they're probably worth reading one way or the other. If you decide that mine is the best (or a close second
), I would appreciate the vote. First prize is 4 booster boxes!
