hey there folks

there's been a deck floating around my local store for quite awhile based on survival of the fittest and lifeline. it's a really good solid deck that was meant for extended before survival was banned. well, ive decided to buy the deck off of the current owner.

the deck is really cool to play, there is never a hand that i exactly the same as the last, and you actually havre to interact with your oponent. that and all the cards are doodled on and it just adds character to the deck.

just wanted to get the deck out there, don't knock it till you've tried it, and suggestb any changes you see but i am well versed in how to defend every last card choice in the deck, however am always looking for fun inclusions that i have over looked.

You should try to get echo and/or easily saccable creatures in there to take full advantage of the Lifeline engine.

Bone Shredder in place of Nekrataal
Woodripper in place of the pump-monkeys

Faceless Butcher could be interesting as well, since it helps neutralize your opponent's ability to take advantage of the Lifeline.

Krovikan Horror would be very strong in here as well.

I was hoping you hadn't gotten screwed.. but 60 is market for the birds themself so you got a great deal!!!

I just hate the fact that people are somtimes cheated just because they like something...

Kind of like WOTC charging 3.29/pack for Magic cards - that's insane...

Insane, yes. But even worse is that people pay that . . . For VIRTUAL cards.

At least I can still get a box of boosters for a more realistic $70 online.

But 3.29 for the rights to 15 non-existent cards is just madness. And enough people are paying to keep that product afloat it seems.


And good score TWJ...

4 Birds and the duals are worth more than $60.

Of course I suppose duals are going down a bit since they aren't extended anymore...

Hey - I'm all against MTGO... one of these days, a hacker smart enough will go in there and down the system... even though they have it backed up, I think it would take something like that to make people realize they have paid to have nothing...

Hey, like I said when the idea of MTGO first came up, for those people who don't have anyone to play in person, paying $3.29 for virtual cards is the same thing as paying for real.

And I asked about the hacker possibility too, but it appears all through beta and testing no one has succeeded yet (if attempts were made at all)...

I thought Wizards had reported that someone had gone in and traded cards illegally, but since they had the system backed-up they were able to reset the changes that were made...

They could have reported it; I don't go to their boards so the only way I'd hear about it is if someone here reports it.

There was an incident like that in Beta Testing... I haven't kept up with the product since it started costing money. It is truly a great port of the game, I can't say anything bad about the game. It is the cost which is far too prohibitive to me.

And for someone who doesn't have access to any real games, I suppose it's the only alternative. But anyone with online access can get real cards for cheaper than 3.29 a booster. I buy mine for less than $2 ($70/box no shipping as long as I order more than $75 - usually buy a starter or two...).

yeah but all the cards are extremely beat and most are colored on and the deck has never sold to anyone for more than 70 so i figure it was a good deal. i didn't rip the guy cos he baught it for 55.

the necrattal is leaving for a flametongue kavu for flexability changes and a forest is leavoing for another taiga

I like the Flametongue idea becaue it's not 2 specific color mana to cast...

The Taiga is a bonus...

the flametongue is so much more flexible than the damn necrataal ever will be. the kavu kills everything where the necrataal won't kill anything sui black puts out.
