I was readin' an article on Star City a while back and saw a U/W Control deck with Life Burst.
I chuckled at first, then read on. Here's the list:

2 Sacred Ground (vs. Obliterate/Price of Glory/LD)
3 Persuasion (vs. R/G/B, U/W/R, take out Dismantling Blows +/or Millstone)
2 Disrupting Scepter (vs. Control, take out Caltrops)
2 Disenchant (v.s Opposition, Mirari)
Sidenote: I just used copy & paste, cool.
Anyhow, I got to thinking about putting this thing together and testing it. I was amazed at how those friggin' little Bursts' keep me alive. 4, then 8, then 12, then 16 life for a total of 40 life, plus the Absorbs (I tested 4 of them).
I like this version better than the Memory Lapse/Predict one I was testing.
