Library milling

Has anyone used Flint Golem in a library milling deck? Some enchantment to make it unblockable, maybe with a Black control deck spashed with Blue or White? What do you think.

No, But you could play it with green and use things like Rancor, Treetop Bracers (?-+1/+1 and can't be block except by cr. w/flying?), Stampede Driver, or Blue and use some of the cr. ench. that give creatures flying or use Power Matrix to give it both Flying and Trample (and I think First Strike and +1/+1 too). Against an Avitar of Woe deck might be something to watch for. Does the Golem say remove the cards from the game or just to the graveyard?

Don't you want the Golem to be blocked? Otherwise you can't mill... in which you'd want to use Lure or something.

Yellowjacket: The cards go to the graveyard.

Mill much? Either do 10+ damage in an attack, or mill 3-12 cards into there deck. Throw in some Jangling Automatons in to really do some damage.

Sorry Spiderman,

I meant, make it become blocked. You know, i.e. Dazzling Beauty. Something like that. Target attacking creature is considered blocked.

galtwish:

The way you have it constructed, it would seem that you'd be far better off just beating down your opponent rather than relying on the Golem's milling ability.

Griffith_se:

Have you tried using artifact mana and Denying Wind? I don't know how you're going to force your opponent to block (Coastal Piracy, perhaps?), but if you do, you can do a lot of milling really fast with lots of artifact mana and Denying Wind to back up the Golem. At the worst, you can totally remove all the non-lands from your opponent's deck, and at best, you could deck them. Either way, I think Denying Wind, if you can handle the mana cost, can be a devastating card, and it fits right into the theme of the Golem, too.

Since we're already using white, how about Trap Runner?

"Oh, it's GETTING blocked. Whether you do it, or I do it..."
