Nah, man, I think its a bit different. Rampage only gave a bonus for each creature blocking after the first, which made it a headache for newbies.
However, it as much more elegant to write "Rampage--5" rather than "For each creature that blocks this card beyond the first, this creature gets +5/+5 until end of turn"
