Hmm... I wonder if there are any slivers in Legions... ;)

Actually, slivers weren't all that broken without the gold ones...

I wouldn't mind seeing reprints of the mono-colored ones (though I think Muscle Sliver might be a bit much).

Slivers are the perfect rainbow tribal cards...

That's a bit sketchy on which cards will come out for the slivers... I think we'll see a loot of new ones, and maybe some reprints...:D

I hope they don't reprint the 2C 2/2 slivers or the gold ones. Heart/Winged Sliver, for example, are fine. Muscle is not.

I saw a 2/2, 2R sliver that gave all slivers +1/+0. If they would print that, they would not reprint Muscle.

Why arent these boards more active? This is looking like a good set...

I blame lack of information. The set is still a little more than a month away, and our leaks consist of a few pictures.

"Amplify" 1 (As CARDNAME comes into play, you may reveal any number of (creature cards that share a type with this one) cards from your hand. If you do, put 1 +1/+1 counter on CARDNAME.)
*This seems a little odd... to show all the cards you want and only get 1 counter???...*

Slivers are unblockable except by Slivers.
*Tribal based fear???...*

All Slivers have Provoke (Whenever a (this) attacks, its controller may have target creature defending player controls untap and block if able.)
*This will change the way regeneration works...

Double Strike (This creature deals both first strike and normal damage.)
*So they do bring my rules question to D'Angelo into a more playable realm... 6 years after the fact...

Does this seem right for a set to introduce 3 mechanics: amplify, provoke, and double strike???...

true, it does seem a little odd to introduce 3 new mechanics in this set, perhaps they're making up for reusing cycling?(not that they have anything to make up for, the new cycling rocks)

I hope that the picture with the woman in red, who seems to be summoning up those snake things is a legend. she looks interesting.

very interesting in deed.

i like the fact that EVERYONE is going to be playing slivers now again, in EVERY FORMAT around my place (t1 doesnt really exist here). it just makes my deck all the more powerful =D

I think the lady conjuring up snakes is conjuring up not-fully-developed slivers...

Maybe the set would introduce 3 mechanics, but is "tribal" as it is in onslaught considered a mechanic, with the way they amplified it and all??...

If so then we got morph, tribal, amplify, double strike, and provoke...

That would leave Scourge to be either an extremely lacking set or make this an extremely powerful block... not broken like urza's but just as powerful...

Looking more to the "not standard" play, I wonder if any of these new Slivers will replace some of the old ones. I'd still use Muscle over the Blade one for example, but Hunter and Stealth look interesting.

I think this actually makes a 1.5 sliver deck all the more interesting... extended even...

And why not run both muscle and blade...

Automatic Stompy!!!...

Didn't Randy just do a column about how the Shadow mechanic was bad for the environment? I guess with this one, you only have to deal with one creature to stop it, but it suddenly makes all of your Slivers unblockable except in the mirror matchup?

Blue can handle this well with artificial evolution... the other colors do have a problem though...

It'll be interesting...

We have Judgement to blame for that. The leaks were so bad you could actually PRACTICE for the pre-release.

>Looking more to the "not standard" play, I wonder if any of these new Slivers will replace some of the old ones

No, they won't. None of them give anything better than the other ones did, and they're alot slower. In extended, all the tricks that made Sliver decks good, have rotated out. In 1.5 Slivers arwn't quick enough to beat other aggro decks. In type 1 they're too unfocused. They won't be seeing much "non-standard" play outside of casual.

>I think this actually makes a 1.5 sliver deck all the more interesting

What would be interesting? how bad it looses?

>And why not run both muscle and blade...
Automatic Stompy!!!...

No. Just no.

I like the idea of all creatures, but couldn't wizards make an effort to make them GOOD creatures?

Slivers are in Tempest - that's enough to make them more than viable in extended... I personally run B/W utility and if frog in a blender wasn't hard to stop... stompy wouldn't be hard to deal with... but slivers grant each other a lot more abilities than stompy... stompy doesn't have any way to help itself out... Slivers are much more evasive...

I think this actually makes a 1.5 sliver deck all the more interesting
For the reasons stated above...

No. Just no.
It's permanent pluses for creatures - not 1 turn giant growths... coat of arms and your opponent pisses their pants...

We haven't seen the other 130+ cards... What was so leaked before that was so powerful?... nothing... just morph...we're about a month away - more will come out soon...
