Actually, you do hear about the failures; the newspaper articles that come up occasionally of whether Lasik is "for you" always has a couple of examples. And I'm sure if you get on a Lasik message board, you'll read something.

I'd like to get it though, maybe when I win the lottery I forget what my vision is, but my contact strength is -9.5 to -10.0. I'm pretty blind...
