Dear CPA, as part of the Magic online playing community,
Well, it seems last time around I ran my mouth off and made a blanket statement that in retrospect was absolutely wrong to do. Rather than write a huge rant on the my perspective on the state of the game and community, I'll say something I should have said a long time ago:
Sorry, everyone. Truly, honestly, with all my sincerity. Nobody deserved to get bashed for playing Magic, or reading about it online, or belonging to this forum, and there I went and bashed everyone for those very reasons. My apologies. It was wrong. The rant, the disease insult, and yes, the idiodic middle fingers. Sorry for it all.
There was someone I spoke to who actually took the time from playing the game and having his own fun, in order to set me straight on where I went wrong in that past posting. Thanks, mystery man, as I won't reveal who it was unless he wants to, but he took the time to make a point and I'm glad for it.
I still think there's large problems with the game, with card sets that feel way too directed toward a bottom line of profits first and foremost. I still think the Magic community is far too apathetic when WotC chooses to do things that seem wrong. The fun seems, at least for the time, lost. Then again, Magic has always been Magic, and always will be. No matter the changes in the cards, players, or their attitudes, the game will be around for us to play and enjoy. The hope for fun is always there.
I'll try to pop in here when I can. I hope I haven't burned anyone beyond repair of the kind peers that I always found here. I'll definitely write from time to time. M94 will be finished, FE will be finished...eventually. My laziness causes those two delays.
In the meantime, please keep up what's always made this site great: The very thing I complained is missing--a group of players who cares (and sometimes writes
). You guys are great. Hugs and kisses (kisses only for girls...everyone gets hugs so long as they refrain from punching me).
Once again,
Sorry, and see you in the future!
