Kamigawa Legend Rule

In Kamigawa they are changing the Legend rule. It will now act like a Removal spell if you play the second Legend. This means you should have 4 of your legend in your deck now especially if you are playing a Tolarian Academy.

Champions of Kamigawa also has some weird but awesome cards.

Sooo let the Legend decks begin.....

removal spell as in removing from the game, or like "Remove Soul"?...

That is not the way it was explained to me...

The ruling is just as DeathMaster explained it. Dropping a Legend on the table while another with the same name is in play will destroy both copies, not just the newest one. POW!

I assume Tabasco started this thread for Legend Deck construction as there's a thread in CPA/Magic Issues that talks about the new Legend rule in general...

Just to clarify - the legends aren't destroyed... They are just put into the graveyard...

train just made a very good point...they are not destroyed but rather dumped into the graveyard....period. Why is this important? One of the Legends showcased had indestructable.

So what's the ruling on legendary permanents with mana abilities? Can they use them before dying this time?

Nope... It's still state-based... That's why they are just "put into..."
