just some questions I want to know

Because I want to know more of magic I read a lot of it at the internet. Here are just some things I would like to know:

I read an article you all liked about white. "they finally found white"(http://www.misetings.com/modules.ph...=thread&order=0 )
Does this mean the white cards are nowadays not as good as the others?
So, if I'm right, in torment it's black that is good and white is the least good card, and maybe in another set it will be white.

What are the adventages/disadventages of the colors?
Whish color do you like most? And at tournaments, which colors are useed most? (probably the best colors)

Each color has, at some point, had a point when the cards avaible in type two(the most current sets only allowed for play) were not as powerful as the other colors.

White has not had any AMAZING tournament quality cards in the past couple of expantion sets, but its still great just to have fun with.

White was AMAZINGLY powerful a couple of years ago, actually. There was a Pro Tour that had more Plains played than any other card(land or otherwise).

I think eighty-five percent of the tournament was playing the "rebel" deck that was mostly white, if not all white.

Before Torment came out, people said that Black had been killed with sixth edition, because many of the powerful cards had been removed and replaced with cards that wern't as powerful.

The expantions before that, the joke was "Green" was the worst color in Magic. If you read some old Magic articles from about three or more years ago, Forests are repeatedly said to be the "worst card in Magic"

It all goes in cycles, and it's all in good humour, typically.

By the way, Misetings blows things out of proportion quite a bit. There's a LOT of sarcasm.



As for each color, they have their stregnths and weaknesses. I'll not spoil the details on that, as it is fun to find out things on your own. But I will tell you the different styles and themes they've got. Black is death, decay and other sorts of stuff like that. White is protective, healing, and valiant knights or well-disciplined soldiers. Green is nature and big creatures. Red is chaos, fire, and destruction. Blue is illusion, trickery, and flying.

yeah i havnt been to any tourneys so i wouldnt know what to tell ya about most played colors. but as for favorites...id have to go with red. whats cooler than "chaos, fire, and destruction"??? some of the newer cards are fun but the best are from the earlire sets. incinerate and lightning bolt are cheap and efficeint. then a great card for massive elimination is rolling thunder from tempest...very fun stuff. also like combining red with black. creature destruction and burn are fun. i prefer the offensive stance as opposed to my silly brother who waits defensivly and then kills or decks you (just plane annoying but hey it works for him) what kinda cards do you have? did u just start with torment?

Being a white mage has been difficult lately. but not impossible. One of the tier one decks nowadays is U/W millstone decks.
White creatures while not outstanding are still pretty good.
It still has Wrath of God and some variants. It's biggest loss was Armageddon. It no longer had the strategy play a couple weenie then blow up the world and hope to kill your opponent before they recover. It also lost any efficient form of creature removal.
But while white hasn't been strong it has been present and with Judgement coming up could make a resurgence

I can't say I mind...I've generally believed that the three colors should be main for mono and bichrome decks, with white and black's purpose as support colors. Black making a deck faster and more distruptive, White promoting defence and board control.

The color would make the strategy, the addition of black or white would "tilt" the strategy to the player's whim.

theorgg pretty much explained what the color's themes are. I like red, but probably more due to that it's my favorite color in general. I think I like white next, as I don't really pay attention to Standard card set rules and play with what I've got, which means I DO play with Armageddon and Land Tax and other old, powerful cards and then blue, which is the "permission" color.

Tournaments usually vary on the best colors from set to set; right now it's generally regarded that black has some pretty good cards so you can expect to see a lot of it there (for Standard; other format types like Extended and Type 1, anything goes).
