I enjoyed reading this article. I liked the fact that he stated in the first few paragraphs about the way players think about the game.


I'd go into more detail, but I have to go soon and there's more threads to gaze at.

That was a really interesting article.

I think it's weird that while he was explaining the different types I found myself pretty much smack dab in the middle of both ranges.

A very interesting article, and while I usually scoff at generalizations about player types, I agreed with most of it. I'm find I'm a focused player except for the comment about "using only one deck in a sitting." I've kept the same 10 decks forever (all type 1), but I'll play all of 'em once in a sitting. I also hate rotations and the like, so I tend to stick to type 1, and I basically fit all the other "focused" descriptions. As for data and aesthetic, it depends on the environment I'm in. As soon as a tournament becomes involved, I'm a data player, and I'm all about the math and the matchups. But when there are no tournaments in sight, I like nothing more than making crazy sound effects, laughing at names, and commenting on artwork. So I guess I vary there.
