If anyone happened to look at the white cards from Torment, you'd've surly noticed that the card's art is disgustingly pixelated. I've seen proxy cards of FAR higher image quality.

I'm extremely agitated by this, y tu?

What are you talking about? White has nice art! Major Teroh and Aven Trooper as well as Mystic Familiar are good examples

Some of the art is EXCELLENT. I especially appreciate Possessed Nomad and Fiery Temper. But that's just me. Some of it, as per usual, is pretty bad. But some of it is good, and the cards in general are FAR better than recent sets. (Not an abysmal rare to be seen!)

Don't tell me you can't see the pixelation on many of the white cards. I forget the names, but one I remember offhand was the white critter that gives you life CIP. There was also one that was an aven on an orange dot and no background.

Aven Troop was the one with the bird on the orange dot. It's not lack of creativity. It's supposed to recall the Japanese flag I think

Your all losers... White has decent pictures and all, and that "Japanese" orange dot??? Hello??? ZTK??? The Japanese one is RED. I see NO resemblance of the Japanese red star and the Orange one on Aven Troop.

*Here, a japanese car drives up and a check is handed to RXI by a very japanese looking man*

Uh, just my tax return...

Prince RXI, runs...

Well heck I could be wrong. It's obviously a rising sun of some sort. I interpreted that as a take on the Japanese flag. I didn't say it was. Just supposed to recall it

There is definate pixelization, but not on everything. Most of the cards look as good as what's always been printed to me.

I just really glanced through the cards while making my deck (and looking more at the text) but nothing about the art stood out to me, either bad or good.

You misunderstood Hetemti, he isn't complaining about the white art (at least not in this thread ;) ), he's complaining about the pixelation of the white art. (think viewing the art in 320x200 on a 386)

Which is highly annoying, Magic cards are pretty expensive, so you'd expect something more than an amateurish print job.

But if your white cards aren't pixelated then it's prolly more a local problem, be happy that it didn't affect you.

Was that to me? If so, I was considering the pixelation of the art to be "bad" and noticeable, and I was saying I didn't notice anything of the sort :)

Discovery - The White foils aren't pixelated. I just compared my normal Possessed Nomad to my foil version (AWESOME art, btw). The difference is instantly noticable. The foil is MUCH clearer, and really looks good.

Looks like it was just an error on normal cards...

Well, it's nice to know that you have to get one of the "premium" cards to get a quality product. They oughta make it where whenever you buy socks only one in seven have their toes sewen. Bought the same ethic.

Additionally for the unobservant, who seem to be quite populate here, foils are now officially 1:70, compared to the previous 1:100 ratio.

No, better not make an issue of it, Spiderman. Jails are full enough as it is.

I've yet to get a good look at Torment (and I missed the PR dangit) but pixelated art would bother the hell out of me.

Magic's been around for what, 9 years now? (and Photoshop has been around even longer for that matter). There is no reason for a quality dropoff for WizCo's digital imaging.

That said, I was drooling over the few cards I saw - I really like the new play themes of the set. Haven't seen inter-block interaction like this since Tempest. But I'll save this thread for Monday when I get my hands on the cards.
