I'd just like to announce that I got my acceptance letter from RPI. I'm going to go into Computer Science if anyone was interested in knowing. It's going to be great, especially since I already know a lot of people there. Now I can slack off for the rest of the school year, oh wait, that isn't any different from normal ;).

Are you going for programming, technology or what?... Or do you even have to specialize within Computer Science?...

No, DeVry Institute of Technology. They might have a trucking school. I wouldn't be surprised.

I believe computer science covers programming and computer engineering would be more the technology/hardware side of things. So if he's in computer science, he would be a future programmer. :)

Instead of going to skool like the smart ones... only having to study and what not to get a degree in computer science... im letting the marine corp mold me into a eatin sleepin typin killin machine! Only gotta stay in for six years and its like havin a masters in any field you choose... that is if its your mos... and the kewl thing is that your out no expenses... they pay you! you just gotta buy food liquor and of course a booster box of each new set that comes out... and your not only a millionaire but also a licensed proctologist or whatever creams your twinkee! Oooh the joys of combining anal probing and pushup... you know it reminds me of the time back in 19- dickety two when the spruce moose flew over my house and dropped off president eisenhower... oh the times we shared... eatin corndogs and drinkin pabst blue ribbon... ill never forget all......................... (ego becomes to immense and suffers a seizure... if thats possible)

a combination of the both. it used to be resident punk... then it changed cuz of my poo fetish... the slinging and what not... but hey what the heck... relive the past... except for the time traveling with the former pres and stuff... uh its past my bed time need to go drink some nyquil and let my body rest... needs to since ive been up all night playin minesweeper

I think it depends on what the school offers. If it's a highly technical school, it might offer separate degrees in programming and engineering. If it's a liberal arts school (like mine was), "computer science" covered it all (though not in any real depth; I took one "intro" course in computer hardware or something like that).

I'm mostly going into programming but since I have a bunch of AP courses I'll probably have plenty of time to get a second major in either business or some kind of art also.

Try to do both OOP (C++) and procedural languages (COBOL and assembler); that way you'll have your pick of both worlds when you graduate.

why no more afi quote nodnarb? U ready for the new album in march? Ive downloaded two studio tracks off it... its sweet... its by far the most bizarre afi blend yet... unless you count the embarrassing cure cover... doh... that sucked

I took the quote off because I felt it was their for long enough, I just haven't gotten the chance to replace it with something else. I also can't wait for the new album. My brother got me the Now the World/Reivers' Music vinyl for Christmas, it's nice.
