Honest? Dude, average human is about 10 or so. 14 is amazing. 18 is superhuman.

Also, in the old 1st edition books, your Intelegence score was equal to your IQ divided by 10. So a 15 Int. would be a 150 IQ, well above genuis level.

Your Strength was also the number of pounds you could lift comfortably above your head time 10. Can you lift 140lbs over your head and walk around with no problem?

In the later editions of AD&D, these scores became a little different, but I think that a person with a 14 STR in the 2nd and 3rd editions can lift more then 140.

DEX: 12 (I am usually very sure-footed)
INT: 14 (My IQ is 1 below the highest average range at 149)
WIS: 17 (I am very knowledgeble about a lot of hard things)
CON: 13 (I'm not bad looking really)

I can guarantee almost no one here can lift 150 lbs over their head and walk around.
I'm guessing the average person on the CPA could maybe do 30-60, I might be able to do ~90, but that's pushing it, and I'm definately not weak.

To put it in perspective, I think a car tire with a rim, etc weighs about 30-50 lbs, try carrying that around. 150 lbs is about the weight of a 17 year old guy; Think about it.

So if I were to make stats for myself, I'd guess:

STR: 7-9 (see above)
DEX: 12-14 (I'm very nimble and balanced, quick feet, etc)
INT: 11-13 (I'd have skipped college if I were any smarter ;))
WIS: 9-13 (I'm more or less an above average thinker and am able to reason well. Again, if I was any higher, I wouldn't be bothering with college.)
CON: 8-13 (Chicks aren't going to fall on their faces all over me, but I'm not unattractive.)
CHR: 14-15 (I rarely find a person that dislikes me)

So, in essence, I might be a little above average, but I doubt it, I'm pretty sure I'm just an average guy.

S'all for now,
Dustin

Prince RXI, *Need to get a new weight set, his last one was broken when he lifted the whole thing with both hands for 15 minutes over his head, then threw it.*

WIS: 13 (same reason as INT)

Ok, I was not aware of those definitions ...

It was my understanding that the average human is between 9 and 12.

Well I have no problem walking around with my wife on my shoulders without getting tired, and she is 120#, so I guess I can still count 12 (instead of 14) for the strength.

Strength: 12
Constitution: 16 I'll stay by that. Never get Sick, solid as a rock, never anything broken in my life.
Dexterity: 12 Stands too.
Intelligence: ok maybe down to 14, since my IQ is regularily around 140+
Wisdom: if 18 is "godly" then let's back it down to 17 or 16.
Charisma: 14 Hey, everybody who knows me likes me, but I am no model. It stands.

Well let's see....

Strength 14 (above average, but no Conan)
Dexterity 12 (above average, but no Michael Jordan)
Intelligence 14 (above average, but no Einstein)
Wisdom 10 (about average)
Constitution 16 (here I excel, more jalapenos anyone?)
Charisma -2 (negative charisma, damn)
Honesty 15 (brutally honest)
Self Esteem 8 (and I so wanted to be alpha male)
Sexuality 12 (would be higher, but for the fetishes)
Compassion 17 (world class in this respect)
Humor 14 (love a good joke, and some not so good)

My name would still be BurlyBrute, I'd be a 4th level fighter / 1st level mage (the oldest in captivity).
I'd ride around on my trusty steed JoJo the Wonder Pony,
righting wrongs, and playing tricks with my cantrips.
And I'd be Chaotic Good in alinement. Now, where's the damsels in distress?

STR: 18/XX (I don't remember the rules for decimals, but I played football for the past six years)
DEX: 9 (I'm a lumbering beast)
CON: 17 (It's near impossible to hurt me, punches are laughable)
INT: 18 (My IQ is absurd, to say the least)
WIS: 15 (I've traveled to most of America and several other nations, so I've learned a few things)
CHA: 18 (My real strength, our Model Congress team is one of the major extra curricular at my school in part due to my leadership)

According to D&D (3rd Edition*) rules, the average human comes in at 10-11 for ability scores.

So:

STR: 11 (about as strong as most people)
DEX: 13 (better than average, sure-footed)
CON: 13 (shrug off most illness, high stamina)
INT: 16 (high IQ, short attention span)
WIS: 15 (perceptive and highly intuitive)
CHA: 15 (empathetic, persuasive, dead sexy)

*(superior in every way to previous editions)

Also going with the 3rd ed rules*:

Strength: 14 (physically fit and spend lots of time wrestling)
Dexterity: 16 (I can use a pair of medium bladed swords to peel potatos without screwing up)
Constitution: 16 spec** (physical pain means little untill a limb falls off)
Intelligence: 14 (smarter then average, but no genius)
Wisdom: 18 (very sage and spiritual person with great insight on life)
Charisma: 12 (I'm better looking then a hippo or well groomed puppy, though not as cute as the puppy. :( )

* Turtle is right, 3rd ed is superior then all previous editions.
** special case of ultra fast healing granting regeneration of 2.

As I recall, if you have Str or Dex above 12 you're supposed to be an athlete. Not athletic, but an athlete. A lot of athletes in the CPA, apparently. And Strength-wise, in 3rd ed rules, you can carry a lot more equipment. You can measure your Strength using the encumberance rules, based on how much equipment you can strap onto your back without it affecting your speed.

My stats?

Str 8 (I get the men to carry my luggage, what else are they for?)
Dex 10 (definitely NOT an athlete)
Con 9 (I pretty much get ill at least once a year)
Int 17 (yes, I'm a genius, so there...)
Wis 13 (better than average, but not world-wise)
Cha 15 (other than smarts, this is my one good trait)

Ura: You can regenerate? So if I hack off a finger it will grow back in a day? You realize of course that with regeneration you can make a literal fortune by selling your transplantable internal organs again and again. :D

Spidey: Translating from the Marvel Universe description of yourself, I'd say your Strength and Dex should be much, much higher. ;)

If I was a Dnd character.. (3rd ed)

Hmm... I think strength should be measured by how much you can carry on your back, I mean, even in a campaign, who lifts 150lbs over their head and walks around with it?

Ademis!!!

Strength: 11, I'm not that strong, but meh...
Dexterity: 17-18, I can steal (borrow) things without people knowing, and piano always helps improve.
Constitution: 10, I get sick a bit, but I always recover quickly
Intelligence: 15and up, I won't brag, but smrt I m.
Wisdom: 16ish, I get tired and don't think straight all the time, but I do think ahead and me and my friends can carry on theological and philisophical topics for hours.
Charisma: 16, If you quote the birthday book, it says one of my strengths is I'm Naturally Magnetic, which, I am.

So I could be a wizards dude (a pretty crappy one) and a kick ass theif... but theives are theiflike... or a cleric... but their...well....

Purple Jester:
Nahh, the finger would stay gone but the end of the stump would heal very fast. by 3rd ed rules a regeneration rate of 1 - 3 means that cuts, bruises, and breaks all heal abnormally fast but missing limbs and body parts stay missing. A regeneration rate of 4 - 9 means limbs will grow back in a matter of days and a rate of 10+ means that you are virtually immune to many forms of attack as the injury heals immediatly with no discomfort.
I just heal abnormally fast, at least thats what my family surgeon says. When I had hip surgery I was walking with only a slight limp about 20 minutes after coming to from the knock out drugs. :D And the entire procedure took 3 hours because they had to cut me open and reshape the bone by taking out a chunk of it and filing the rest down.
