Idea for W/U control - viable?

Meekstone + Juntu Stakes - Only creatures with power=2 untap.
Blinking Spirit + Phantom Warrior - Power=2. Phantom Warrior WILL get through, and Blinkie is basically immortal.
Wrath/Rout/Mageta - Ah-duh.

You completely take out their mana-creature base but you leave the all-powerful Burst and of course Chimeric Idol, plus it has Earthquake and Ryhstc Lightnings to take out your creatures.

You don't do anyting at all to this deck, very bad matchup with the Angel's, Wraths, not to mention the Circle and Moat.

Second the combo itself, you're really going to want the Stake's in your opening draw and Meekstone by at least turn 3, and some countering, and some card drawing, and of course 2-power creatures that fly.

Final thought: It injures 2/3 of the decks but U/W control will really give you problems.

This was just an idea to supplement W/U control, not its main strategy. Blinkie has great synergy with Wrath, and provides an alternate kill method if your Millstones somehow get nuked despite your countermagic.

On a side note...do you think Mana Maze works well in a mirror match with W/U control?

Mana Maze was strongly suggested to me last night for the "Mirror Match". Since the only other U/W Control player was playing G/W, I didn't do it.

uh, you missed a spot. Le'ts look at fires again:

Bursts- dead
Elves- dead
Birds- dead
Derms- dead
Boas- alive
Idols- alive

Now, let's look at this: the burts can only untap as 1/1's (Untap, with 2 counters on the burst, then you remove one....)BUT, they may only need 1 attack. THAT'S the worry.

So, how do you stop that? My suggestion: Dueling grounds. Oh, and archangel....
