Idea for Skyshroud behemoth

Hi,

Yes I'm still thinking about how to Use Skyshroud Behemoth.

I was thinking it might be good with Volrath the Fallen. Use fast mana to get Volrath out, Discard Behemoth to it.

It would need to have Removal, or evation to deal with chump blockers.

It will also need some grave yard effects.

Mana accel. : ?
Ritual no brainer, Maybe Grim, Bog Witch

Removal:?
Vendetta, Snuff, Massacre, Forced march

Grave Yard: ?
Exhume, Raise dead, Victimize(I like Victimize how come nobody uses it?)

Is this Idea worth the effort?

I'll try to work on a deck list if I get any positive feed back on this thing.

Please, suggestions are why I'm here, all are welcome good, or bad.

P.S. Jackal your Making Me nervous running around with that bow and arrow. we are the only 2 on the board right now. It would'nt be very sporting.

never mind. I read the damn card wrong. Its not power, or toughness its coverted mana cost. Oh well. I think the best suggestion was the Sneak attack trick (if it actually works). Sneak out Behemoth (end of turn effect) on opponents turn.

That won't work either unless you have fervor or something else that would give it haste (Skyshroud Behemoth comes into play taped)so you would also need Vitalize or something. How about this:

Sneak Behemoth
Vitalize (or, something to untap him)
Rancor
Rupture

Can it be broken? If somebody comes up with something please share your ideas.

Question, do you think you can Sneak out Behemoth at you begining of turn before your untap step?

You can Sneak out the Behemoth as follows;

Opponent sayes he/she is done.
Declare end of turn effects. Resolve
Sneak out Behemoth.
Untap
Sneak something else if you want
Declare attack.

The Behemoth will be able to attack. I'm not
100% sure this will work but if someone
knows why it will not please explain.

The only reason I think this will not work is this...

End of turn effects resolve THEN the the turn is over, and Behemoth goes to the grave yard.

I really hope this is wrong.

The Belbe's Portal thing is about the only use for Behemoth I can think of. Other good beasts from MBC:

Blastoderm
Laccolith Titan
Laccolith Warrior

Instant speed brutes for 3 colorless. If only the Portal didn't cost 5...

I was thinking about doing this with an MBC deck, using only Beasts and cards that make them unblockable. If you have any ideas, please tell me.

You'd be surprised how many beasts and elementals there are.

Caveman and Griffith: Using Sneak Attack should work because it's an "at end of turn" effect. If you activate it after that part in the End Phase, then the creature will stick around until the next "at end of turn" (which is during the next player's turn).

It goes like this by rules number:

312. End Phase

313. End of Turn Step
313.1 "At end of turn" triggers go on stack. Play spells and abilities.

314. Cleanup Step
314.1a Discard down to maximum hand size
314.1b Damage is removed and all "until end of turn" and "this turn" effects are removed.
314.1 If conditions for state-based effects or if any abilities triggered, play spells and abilities until stack is empty and repeat Cleanup Step.

So if you activate Sneak Attack during 313.1, its conditions won't trigger until the next 313.1 which is during the next player's turn. This is why Waylay worked the way it did before the errata.
