I hope this one doesn't go in the trash, too.

Okay the Dream Halls/Meddling Mage idea failed. I will try Warped Devotion/Megrim:

3 Sunscape Familiar
1 Wall of Tears
1 Wall of Souls
1 Wall of Deceit* (all I can find for now)
2 Dromar, the Banisher (I am just dying to use this card, if you've seen my other threads)
1 Doomsday Specter* (see above) (btw, does this guy return himself if I control no blue or black creatures?)

4 Recoil
4 Snap
3 Hoodwink
4 Dark Ritual
1 Flux
1 Noxious Vapors
2 Ill-Gotten Gains*
4 Megrim
3 Warped Devotion (trying to find the last one)
1 Barrin's Spite
1 Undo*
1 Rushing River*
1 Mystical Tutor

8 Islands
6 Swamps
5 Plains
2 Dromar's Cavern

* - Needs to come out.
Needs to go in: Urza's Guilt, a better wall, another Warped Devotion, WASH OUT, another Flux/Windfall

Once again, I'm aware of the single records; it means that that's all I could find of that card at that point. I've proxied the other Warped Devotion in tests so far, but I can not for the life of me play it with Megrim at a decent point in the game! Add draw power? Other suggestions?

To me, Hypnotic Specter is a good staple for any megrim deck. Plus, I usually ran a couple of Dark Rituals (since It appears that it is a type 1 deck anyway). Again, you want to watch our for the fact that you need to keep cards in your opponents hands so they can keep discarding. A couple of howling mines should keep them up, and maybe even a little LD would not hurt in that regards as well...

I'm afraid I'm fresh out of Hypnotic Specters... they're all in my BW Discard/Reanimate. Will Abyssal do, or does he suck too much? If he does make it, what does he replace? By the way, deck formats don't mean much to me, I basically just play Vintage. And what's LD?

The problem I have with tests run so far is not getting discard food in my opponents hand (I usually have a Snap or Hoodwink handy), it's drawing my own spells to make them discard them while I have Megrim out.

LD = land destruction

Well, you've got blue, the drawing color, so finding draw spells shouldn't be a problem. Impulse and Brainstorm are quick ones off the top of my head.

There's also an artifact around Tempest? that lets everyone during their draw phase draw an additional card and then discard a card. Might be good for you and good for them to draw a discard when you have Megrim out.

@Tsi: Yes, Doomsday Specter returns itself to your hand if you have no other creatures (or, if you just choose to do so)
And:
@Spidey: The artifact you are thinking of is Anvil of Bogardan (from Visions) and it totally rocks in a Megrim deck.

Right, now on to the content:
Doomsday Specter + Warped Devotion is pretty much a nonbo. If you really want to play it, make sure that bouncing one of your creatures is going to be even more annoying for your opponents.
In order to do this, add stuf like Man-'o-War, Aven Fogbringer and Urborg Emissary.
Recoil is golden, so is Wash Out and Capsize.
(PS Dromar's Cavern in a Warped Devotion deck? You don't even need the third color!)

Megrim is just added damage, but you want to establish control through Warped Devotion, hence only two Megrim. I also took out the Dark Rituals, just because this is a control deck; the tempo boost is great, but you don't necessarily need a turn one Megrim or Warped Devotion, if you run out of cards quickly.

And if I were you, I wouldn't play a six-mana dragon in a deck like this, but replace them (and a Megrim and a Doomsday Specter) for four Drift of Phantasms (which can tutor for your lone Megrim, a Warped Devotion, a Capsize, a Emissary or a Recoil).

Good luck and keep us posted!

Revision:

4 Sunscape Familiar
2 Wall of Tears
2 Dromar, the Banisher
1 Waterspout Elemental

4 Recoil
4 Snap
4 Hoodwink
4 Dark Ritual
1 Flux
1 Windfall
2 Noxious Vapors
4 Megrim
3 Warped Devotion
1 Barrin's Spite
1 Urza's Guilt
1 Undo

8 Islands
6 Swamps
5 Plains
2 Dromar's Cavern

Anvil of Borgadan sounds badass, and I'm pretty sure I saw it today in that huge case of Visions. It can replace Undo and Waterspout.
Yeah, about Dromar's Cavern... I'm a bit of a Vorthos, like how in each of my decks no two lands have the same image, and I always find the coolest looking lands possible to use, such as a lightning storm on a Plains, and never use white-bordered. So the Dromar's Cavern is extraneous, I suppose it can come out.
And finally, I don't have any cards from Dissension, Guildpact, or Ravnica.

Definitely Wash Out. Kinda want more Flux too; I just cannot get Warped Devotion out quick enough.

Throw in a demonic Tutor as well. That increases the chance of getting what you need. With the Mystic Tutor, that gives you basically 5 Warped Devotions instead of 3.

Demonic Tutor... I'd love to, but it's just... cheese. I have no problem using Enlightened Tutor (which is what I meant instead of Mystical Tutor), because I only have 3 Warped Devotions, and it will get the card my deck hinges on and only put it on top of my library.

I think someone should mail 4 Wash Outs to my house.
