I was surfin' the net at my usual times...and BOOM, there it was, right in front of me:

Well, 2003 is far away, I know...but if there's anything right now that can me make me look forward to it, it's gotta be:

May, 2003 -- The Matrix Reloaded (The Matrix II)...

That's not all...

November, 2003 -- The Matrix Revolutions (The Matrix III)...

And as if 2 Matrix movies out in the same year is not enough...

Late 2002 or early 2003 -- The Matrix Anime...

I know, I'm a Matrix geek...

I've watched The Matrix 30+ times now...and it's the only movie I've done that with...giving me 3 Matrix meals in one year is just crazy!

I can't believe it! I'm so excited! I'm mostly excited for the 2 new movies which both aren't that far apart -- compared to the time period between The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded.

I'm just hyped...

If that's not enough...

X-Men 2 will also be released on May of 2003, very parallel to the second Matrix movie. X-Men, on the other hand, is no Matrix, and hopefully, we all know that...but it's still worthy of 7 dollars for the movie ticket, I guess...

Any fans of Batman will also be delighted upon 2003: Catwoman has her own movie now, entitled -- of course -- "Catwoman." It's only natural then, that Batman himself is getting more movies: Batman Beyond, and also Batman: Year One.

If X-Men and Batman are not enough of superhero flicks for you (what a geek you must be ), then...the Fantastic Four are signed up for a movie for mid-late summer of 2003. If THAT is also not enough, then...besides the fact that I'm worried about you now (), there's also an upcoming Ghost Rider movie (Sageridder, he's your man! ). There's also The Hulk to be released on June 20th, 2003. For summer of 2004, Iron Man is also there. Spider-Man will be out on May 3rd, 2002...

Just when you thought Lara Croft in Tomb Rider was enough for game-to-movie translations, they're putting Duke Nukem with his own movie. Not my favourite, but hey...there's also The House of The Dead movie due between mid-late 2002 to early 2003. Out of all these game-to-movie flicks, I gotta be most excited about Resident Evil, out on March 15th of 2002 -- at least I've played most of the games.

I'm sure most of you will be happy to know that The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King will is also due on December of 2003.

And finally, for all of you whom are familiar with college level literature...Beowulf is also set for 2003 sometimes. I think we all would agree that it would be *very* interesting to see it since it was incredibly 307% inhumanely dangerous and absurd to read...

So seeing all these (semi)-exciting releases, does anyone have room for PokeMon 4 (late 2002)?

Not a "hero" I would have thought to be made into a movie... Captain America or even Daredevil are more "solo" types who I would have thought would have been made first...

There was a Beowulf movie already.... the same subject, only in post-apocalyptic nuclear war "Mad Max" kind of setting. It had Christopher Lambert (Highlander) and was released straight to video And then there was "13th Warrior" with Antonio Banderas - great movie btw!, which was based on a book by Michael Crighton (sp?) which was loosely based on Beowulf

It's gonna be fun though to finally see the original storyline translated onto the big screen. Hopefully this won't be a kids movie, because the original was FAR from kids' book... I really hope for a cold, cruel Nordic barbaric setting... wheeeee

BAH! there hasn't been a really good super hero flick since the original Batman, give me a Battle Pope Movie(now there is a super hero ) but anyway a beowulf movie sounds cool. I hope they depict Grendel well. I've always imagined him as a cross between a bear and a thorn elemental. As for the Matrix movies...I agree with X, Its about time.

Speaking of movies, some friends and I are trying to make a movie titled "Jesus, Son of God." It's an action movie in which Jesus comes back to life in present days and reaps his revenge on the "sinners", which is almost everyone. There is going to be sex, drugs, insane fight scenes, a battle with the Pope, and lots of explosions and blood. People say we are going to hell for even thinking about making this movie.

I just gotta see how the heck they're gonna make the story -- and I agree, it better have everything the story had...every drop of blood, and every fatal moment...

About the superhero movies, I think Spider-Man looks good for what little I've seen of it. Also, with Ghost Rider, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and yet another X-Men movie...one would think that there would be at least a single movie being a good deal.

I don't watch a lot of movies in theaters...no. I've only seen very few on theaters, and The Matrix and X-Men are some of the few. I really have high hopes for The Matrix movies...I hope they're not some screwed up sequels...because seeing how highly hopeful I am, in this case, the greater the expectation -- the greater the fall...and if those movies suck -- let's not even go there.

Nodnarb, that movie you're talking about sounds cool! Actually, to be exact with words, I think it sounds like a real-movie concept! A great idea...

I know this has been brought up so many times before...but I think a Magic the Gathering movie would be great if done right. I mean, we spent -- what -- SIX years exploring the world of Gerard and his endless journies? It'd be neat to have a movie around that saga, I think...

Dont forget Spiderman, its coming out this year and is being directed by the guy who did the Evil Dead series (if you havnt seen Army of Darkness, rent it immediatly). And Dofoe, who in my opinion is one of the best actors, plays the green goblin. Also a movie called Maelstrom is coming out this year too, i dont know much about this movie, but what i have read, it seems interesting.

It's not called Fred in the movie.

Nowhere in the movie is Fred mentioned.
They changed all references to Fred (except possibly the gaffer's name) to The Matrix. There is a "Matrix" in reality , except its real name is Fred. Only a few underground conspiracy sites call it Fred, but like most sites of that kind they are treated with a certain degree of skepticism. The Matrix sounds much cooler.

Notice the winking () I have been doing throughout this post.

The Matrix sequels have got to be good though! I'm telling you, if they're not, I will fall so hard...it's dangerous when you have such high hopes, because if the expectations are not provided, than...it's doomsday.

I don't think I was ever so excited about a movie before...this is the first time in my life that I do this...

Have you guys noticed how The Matrix set the "standard" of how action movies should be done? It seems to me, that after The Matrix, everyone started using that angel rotation/slow time sequence technology: some music videos, commercials, movies...etc. The Matrix basically set the standard, in my opinion, of how an action movie should be done...it really pushed some limits.

What I'm hoping for is some new technology...more limits to be pushed, more innovative ideas...yet still captured with a vague storyline with an actual sense if you watch it over and over. A major part of The Matrix's success, in my opinion, wasn't really that vague but sensible storyline...I believe it's that innovative nature captured that audience...it showed images that the eye of a human had not seen before, and rarely even just imagined...very innovative...

I want more bullet-times too, by the way.
