Genesis - in my opinion is the best individual cycler... however it requires mana - lifeline doesn't require mana....
The big bad part about lifeline is that it brings all creatures back... That's worse than it's being a permanent... But it's a one time cost - that's why it's most efficient.
Genesis is much nicer as you control what happens... I run Genesis in any deck with green... he's just wrong... your opponent doesn't kill him because they don't want him in the gy or they have to kill him and your set...
But he can limit your ability to play other spells by using up mana...
