Huge Thumbs Up!

I am so glad to see participation in the site! It's friggen awesome to see stuff being updated and I just wanted to shout out with mad props to:

Douwe "Limited" Terluin & Arjan "Jorael" van Houwelingen: The Making It Work series running strong on the front page. Damned glad to see regular article content. And hey, splitting it up certainly helps get things flowing better than one person sitting on their own, eh?

TheCasualOblivion: Oh man, you're the firestarter! You could just be a psycho spammer...or a wickedly helpful Father of Featured Threads. I'll say, the latter! Without your Springer/Oprah addiction, we just might be short of stuff to argue about.

And now that props are done. Some slops...

Just gotta say, why are the new articles by the newer members? Are the older among us much too crusty to write an article? Have our brains turned to dust along with our blood? We speak time and time of wanting to help the CPA, and the easiest way is to just write...simply anything...any old article, to at least draw readers here and get them interested.

Sorry for the tubthumping, I just didn't feel like writing a whole Participate NOW! and felt there were some things that needed to be said.

-Notepad, crusty to the point of sweet crunchiness!

Thanks for the compliment :)

It sure helps that Limited and I play together. It stimulates new card challenges and you can enjoy the decks the other one created and playtests. His dreamborn muse deck 1 and 1b were nasty. In multiplayer the last one especially. Briliant how certain players (including me) slowly realized what was going on....

Hey, I would if I could. However, I barely have time to acknowledge the newest cards, let alone write about them. I've been giving some thought to doing a few articles about some of the "Vinatage" cards (but, not the format). Unfortunately, I don't have an internet connection that's readily available (have to wait in line to use it!) and I barely have the time to do anything out here...perhaps when I get home...

I definitely don't have time, nor keep up with playing enough either to get "good stuff" going. The maintenence and "upkeep" of posting articles and replies is pretty much all I can devote time towards...

But I definitely agree that jorael, Limited, and CasualOblivion have helped to stimulate discussion here in the past couple of months. :)

Managing the boards seem like a HUGE contribution to me :)
Bigblue managing 2 champions drafts is cool too.

Its a simple formula I discovered for message boards a while back. Start a thread with very opinionated topic and invite people to argue with you. Best way to start an interesting discussion. Thanks tho.

I agree, you guys have done a great job recently.

Regarding the old farts like myself? Well, I've just been a bit lazy / overworked. Articles take a much bigger commitment of time than day-to-day posting (at least for me), and I haven't really had that time recently. And when I have I've been too tired to do anything.

Hopefully that will change soon due to some pending changes in the air at my job, but I digress.

I've been broke, and hoping to get something out of the excrementations of my brain...

Though I'll always have a link in my signature pointing back to the CPA.

Aw, jesus back door christ...I think I'm seeing a common problem. Yeah, Ferret and Spidey were right on people's reasons for not writing.

The time has come for another Participate NOW!, but this one I am thinking of sending Star City's way because, though I want you guys to see what I have to say, its something that needs to be said to everyone possible.

Basically: Passion *before* writing *before* money

Ditto. I do still have plans to write more articles at some point though...
