Okay. I just can't get over this
RealMTG, where I moderate (*not advertising here (JOIN NOW!!!:D)*), is from phpBB, which of course is total crap. But it's free. But I see that all the really GOOD forums (technically seen) (Gleemax, MTGSalvation, Here) are powered by VBulletin. So I go to the VBulletin site to see why the site owner doesn't do that. And I see that it costs around $80-$160!!!!! WTF?!?
I know that this forum is rather small (from spidey: Highest user number: around 20 at one point), so how could you afford this?
Just wondering... It IS puzzling to me.

Without having to wait for Spidey to answer, I believe I solved this one.

The supreme God and Overlord of the CPA (EdSullivan) beta tested vBulletin on this site. These appear to confirm this.

Yet another reason why Ed is awesome.

I'm not certain of the answer either, but yes, I would bet that because Ed was a beta-tester, he gets/got certain priviledges associated with that :)

Actually, Ed is a "beta tester/works for the company" and seems to be able to use it like how them teachers get to use those fancy education versions of windows on their machines.

So many things to tell about Ed Sullivan... Like how his site has surprisingly few proxies to get to the servers. Freakin' awesome load time makes me happy.
