On a whim, I just checked my DCI ranking. I've only played in a few sanctioned Magic tournaments (prereleases), so it was nothing, pretty much. But I had completely forgotten about MLB Showdown, where I've done pretty well in the tourneys I've played in. And it turns out that I'm ranked #53 in the world and #2 in Ohio! Isn't that something? I'm so proud.

You should consider becoming a pro and practice and travel to all the sanctioned tournaments. I mean, think about it, obviously you have the skill, why not invest the time and become a Finkel of MLB Showdown?

Seriously, though, lots of people play it. Enough that Wizco has kept it alive for about 18 months and is printing new sets and is even developing other Showdown games for football and basketball and such.
