Okay, somehow, this deck blew up on me and got way too big. I need help streamlining it down without leaving many holes. This is mainly intended for MP although I have not turned down a duel yet!

Squirrels Gone Wild:

Creatures:

2 Thallid
2 Elvish Farmer
2 Leige of the Hollows
1 Squirrel Wrangler
1 Nemeta, Grove Guardian
1 Verdeloth The Ancient
1 Kamahl, Fist of Krosa
1 Verdant Force (had to get one Beat Down in there didn't I?)

Spells:

4 Acorn Harvest
4 Chatter of the Squirrel
4 Moments Peace
4 Overrun
4 Parallel Evolution
4 An-havva Inn (Cheapest Life Gain I have ever seen here)
2 Spidersilk Armor
2 Fungal Bloom
2 Vitalize
1 Regrowth
1 Squirrel Nest (all I Own :()

Artifacts:

1 Umezawa's Jitte
1 Coat of Arms

Lands:

20 Forests
2 Treetop Villages

If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to eliminate the Saprolings and go solely with squirrels, but have not found enough stuff to do that. Even leaving the saprolings in, need some help getting the card count down. Also, a little questionable about the Jitte and the Coat of Arms. Are there any good artifacts to use instead? Only thing I ask y'all to keep in mind is that I only have cards up to CHK. I have not aquired any past that yet...

are all too expensive to be used effectively..
if you want to use creatures like this in a squirrel or token deck use something like natural order to cast them for 2GG.

usually saproling symbiosis is a much better and cheaper alternative to parallel evolution.

Thallids are also too slow. Consider scatter the seeds and fists of ironwood for fast tokens.

Liege of the hollows is only really good if you run elf mana, as your opponents will be able to make just as many if not more squirrels.. Druid's call with a tempting licid or a taunting elf would net you many more squirrels..

Also if you want some of the most efficient mana to squirrel cards, you need to run 4 deranged hermit, and you might consider squirrel nest as well. Maybe even a single earthcraft to get infinite squirrels on turn 3.

other cards that boost all creatures might be in order, like magnify or echoing courage.. If you have say 7 squirrels, you make one tempting, then attack with 6 3/3's

Jitte is also a out of flavor for this deck, and doesnt really belong..
If you play against a lot of targeting creature removal, you may consider running steely resolve.

the main thing is that you need something amazing to happen with your squirrels... so either attacking with all of them, and giving one +7+7 with might of oaks (which by the way has a squirrel on the picture) or sacrificing to do a lot of damage, or making it so your opponent cant block several.
Otherwise a single tremor, echoing decay, necroplasm, or a powder keg for 0 can demolish anything you have.

You might splash blue to use followed footsteps on deranged hermit, then you could have some counters in sideboard for some matches. You might try nut collector, or Squirrel Mob. Krosan Beast could make a nice mid to late game play.

I had a Squirrel deck which worked kinda well

Squirrel.dec said:
Spells (18)
4x Acorn Harvest
4x Chatter of the Squirrel
4x Harrow
2x Naturalize
2x Overrun (very nasty, so I only played two)
4x Sylvan Might (also a squirrel in the art and the trample bonus is very nice)
Creatures (18)
4x Deranged Hermit
4x Krosan Beast
2x Nut Collector (too expensive, but they just crack me up)
4x Squirrel Mob (enables a fast kill)
4x Squirrel Wrangler (Mini-Overrun? Yes please)
Lands (22)
22x Forest
I think you should pick a tribe and go for either Saproling or Squirrel.

@Sageridder: I love Followed Footstep, but I think Deranged Hermits toughness is insufficient to risk it.. and you have to pay the echo cost each turn. Limits you choices. On a Squirrel Mob however.. Perhaps also add a Doubling Season?

Pay the echo on the copies if you do so comfortably if not let the copied hermits die you still get the tokens. If you try this you are splashing blue so you could run some hard counters bain deck to protect the hermit.Or use mark of eviction on the hermit instead.

Thanks for the comments y'all, i am taking them into consideration, but have not actually modified anything yet. Splashing blue, while I personally love doing just that, will just make the rest of my group say "Another deck with blue?, can't you play any other color?" I do thank you for calling the squirrel art to my attention, i had not thought of that!
